I'm a canine behaviorist living in beautiful Wilmington, NC. I've had dogs all my life and in 2018, I quit my job and pursued my lifelong dream of running a doggy daycare. I primarily work with clients that have been kicked out of "big box" daycares and those told by other trainers they couldn't be helped. I specialize in rehabilitating pet dogs displaying reactivity/aggressive behaviors, anxiety and other stubborn behavioral issues. I call my daycare the land of weirdos and misfits, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I cannot recommend Emily enough! She is knowledgeable, patient & knows that not all dogs are created the same. Her ability to understand and work with all types of dogs (and people) sets her apart from other dog trainers. She has taught not only my dogs but also myself how to better understand one another & have a joyful household. She’s honestly the best of the BEST!! We love her!
Emily and Ponga are both so great with my dog. Emily is very communicative about what goes on in daycare with my dog and she comes home happy and tired. Emily also sends out pictures of the dogs in daycare that day and it's always so fun to see my dog having a fun time with her friends. I wouldn't send my girl to any other daycare. I'm so happy I found 16 Paws!

Emily and Ponga are the best. Emily is positive, patient, and very good with training your dog. I had a 8 month pup with some behavior problems. I sent her for a week of intensive. She still had some issues after she came home, but I followed Emily's advice and I have an almost perfect pup.
