5 Star Dog Training

I was desperately looking for help for my 14 month old rescue dog. She had been traumatized and suffered with fear based aggression. After working with several trainers, with little progress, Deanna came into our lives and turned things around quickly. Deanna balanced assertive training techniques with compassion & within 30 minutes had my dog walking on a leash beside her with no charging, growling or barking. Her extensive experience & insight for helping dogs transcends to training me as well. I am learning how to best help my dog overcome her challenges & rough start in life. Our furry 2yr daughter, Poppi, we rescued last fall. A momma of 12 English Mastiff puppies, we found the last remaining to be found. We eagerly welcomed our newest addition. We quickly learned Poppi had fear aggression. I couldn’t walk her down the street without her barking and lunging from her leash at a dog walking across the street. We knew we had to do something and were not equipped to handle these behaviors. We found 5-star Dog Training. Chase has been great for Poppi. He came to our house and demonstrated what we need to do. Sent us training material, gave us opportunities to practice with him out in public at Home Depot. Offers bi-weekly meet-ups with other dog and dog owners to continue to group train and give dogs the opportunity to socialize with one another. This combination has been a tremendous success for Poppi as now (6 months later) she is a confident dog that has learned queues to help make her successful on walks, when people come over, or is out in the year with neighbor dogs. Poppi is doing excellent (still has more work to do), but am 100% certain she would be no where close to where she is without Chase’s services. Thank you Chase! We appreciate the continued support. I cannot recommend Chase at 5 Star Dog Training enough! The difference he’s made with my dog, Dunkin, has been nothing short of incredible. Before training, Dunkin’s reactivity made everyday situations incredibly stressful. Thanks to Chase’s knowledge, patience, and guidance, the transformation has truly been night and day. We can now go to the vet without the overwhelming stress we used to experience, and we’re even able to walk through pet stores and other public places with confidence. Chase took the time to understand Dunkin and gave us the tools we needed to continue building on his progress at home. We still have a long road ahead but my life has truly changed for the better after our private lessons. Chase has been outstanding as our 8 month old dachshund puppy’s (Otto) trainer! He guided us brilliantly with easy to implement techniques we can use daily for ongoing, fun training. In 4 months Otto now is walking with us & playing off leash, sitting & staying on place until released, has reliable recall to us amid distractions like rabbits & squirrels, his reactivity is very well controlled, and most of all he is full of confidence which allows him to interact appropriately with all breeds, most of which are much bigger than him. We couldn’t be happier with Otto’s progress & would highly recommend Chase!
