After our phone conversation on 6/25, we made a private session appointment for Saturday 6/27 at 2:00pm. Our phone conversation included explaining that I would be sending you an email with all information on the private session and forms. You told me you did not have a printer so I explained I would have a form at the training hall for you to fill out but it was important for you to read all the information in the email. This email also had driving information and how to contact me on Saturday if you needed to contact me since the business phone is in my home. On Saturday at 2:15pm I was concerned that something happened so I left a message on your phone questioning if you were lost or if you had decided to cancel the appointment but possibly had left a message at the wrong phone number. You called me back yelling at me for poor customer service, along with other things that need not be mentioned, and when I asked if you had received the email (because I really did not know if you had or not), you stated "I will no longer be needing your services" and you hung up on me. Our emergency number (my cell #) is also listed on the website. If I was a "poorly run" business, I would not be successful for over 23 years. I didn't "blame" you for miscommunication, I simply asked if you had received the email so that I could understand where the miscommunication was. When I returned to my home office, your messages on the business phone said you could not find us and you didn't understand why I wasn't answering the phone and "what a poor way to run a business". So I'm still wondering if you received the email.

Your private session was scheduled by you because you had been to another trainer and did not receive any help on your situation. You explained that you had several behavioral issues that needed to be addressed including uncontrollable excessive barking (which you were afraid would turn into aggression) and your dog's fear, which we determined by our conversation was due to lack of socialization. After initial conversation at our one on one session, it was determined and discussed how your lack of confidence and handling of the situation and allowing your dog to run from the "fearful" things was increasing and contributing to his fear. We greatly improved his confidence in the first 20 minutes and I showed you how to not allow him to run away from the fear and for you to be confident to show him confidence. You agreed and understood. When I tried to introduce something new, he struggled. At no time did I ever choke him and I did not ignore his fear, in fact, I explained why I did not continue. And when I said "he's not biting me" it was in response to his fear response to explain his behavior at the moment. Obviously this explanation was misunderstood. We spent 1 1/2 hours working together with your dog and at no time did you ever express your displeasure with what was going on or ask for further explanations. I continue to be amazed at individuals who seek resolutions to their dogs problems, discuss these problems and work with a trainer and then feel it necessary to post negative information before discussing their displeasure with a situation. How can I help if I'm not asked why or for further explanation? As I have stated many times, I am more than happy to explain a situation, answer questions, resolve misunderstood information or displeasure with a situation, if I'm given the opportunity.
