⚠️ Warning — Terrible Experience, Stay Away ⚠️ I’m writing this because I genuinely don’t want anyone else to go through what I did. About a month ago, I scheduled a consultation with Sean after waiting patiently because he had a newborn and asked me to wait. I agreed, hoping to get real help with just two simple issues walking my dog by my knee and stopping him from picking food off the countertop. I paid a $100 deposit, and the total for the “consultation” was $400. When Sean finally came, the session lasted no more than 1 hour and 30 minutes, even though it was supposed to be a 2-hour consultation. Instead of actually helping or showing any training techniques, he spent half the time trying to sell me another $1,600 program and pushing me to sign paperwork. At the end of the session, I walked away with nothing no advice, no training, no improvement, nothing that could help my dog. Just a huge sense of being scammed. I sent him emails and text messages explaining my frustration and asking for follow-up, but he never replied. No response. No care. No responsibility. Honestly, it feels like he just comes to your house, takes your money, and disappears. There are a million people on the island, and this kind of “business” model is just wrong taking advantage of people who love their dogs and are trying to do the right thing. Completely unprofessional, unfair, and disappointing. He clearly cares only about getting paid, not about helping you or your dog.

A Pet Perspective is hands down the best dog training business on island. They use a holistic training method but take a firm stance against any e-collar, prong collar, or other “pain” methods of dog training. Ask them about their wall of pain, you won’t regret it. When I first got my dog, I didn’t know what to do with her. I thought I could just bring her home and she would be content to just hang out with me and go on an occasional walk. Boy was I wrong, she was a menace. She ran around the house chewing things, peeing, she always pulled on the leash outside, and she barked at every dog and person she saw. After a year of enduring these problem behaviors and serious considerations that we just weren’t capable of raising a dog, me and my wife decided to get an evaluation from Sean from A Pet Perspective. For the evaluation, Sean came to our home and he took our dog and walked her down the street on a loose leash, got her to be calm when people passed by, and basically showed us that our dog wasn’t broken, we just didn’t know how to communicate with her. He also told us some hard truths: that our dog was physically and mentally unfulfilled. It hurt to hear that, but after seeing him handle her, we knew he was right, so we scheduled our first six training sessions with him. Over these first six sessions, Sean explained to us what goes on in a dog’s mind, how to more effectively communicate with them, and ran us through drills and gave us training “homework” that would help us make progress in training and get the most out of our sessions with him. The best part about these sessions though is that Sean won’t train your dog for you, he will teach you how to train your dog. Over the course of about two and a half months going to these sessions, we made tremendous progress in our training, built a stronger bond with our dog, and gained confidence in ourselves and our ability to handle her and give her a fulfilling life. Now we have been going to Sean for almost a year and a half and 99% of our dog’s problem behaviors are gone. Our dog is happier, me and my wife are happier, and our bond is unbreakable. Full credit for this goes to Sean’s expertise and his ability to educate people with no background in dog training on high-level information in a way that is easy to understand.

When we rescued our dog Enzo, he developed a strong territorial temperament towards anyone outside of our immediate family. Working with Sean and his team really helped me understand Enzo’s issues at his own level. They not only provide expert guidance for our dogs but also educate the owner on how our dogs mind works. Sean gave me the tools I needed to prepare and control situations involving Enzo and ultimately created a new bond between my dog and I. Now instead of shouting orders to Enzo as he’s running away, I have him by my side, waiting for cues on how to proceed. I 100% recommend Sean and his team for anyone looking to have the best relationship with their pet.
