What are your fees for taining and what specific training do you offer?
Our fees vary depending upon the service provided!
We offer positive reinforcement training in private sessions for basic skills and tough behaviors, group classes, and drop off day training; together with grooming and cooperative care training sessions!
As of 7/2024, our fees start at $160 for six week outdoor agility classes, $199 for our 6 week indoor basic skills classes, and go up to $350 for or reactive dog classes. Private lessons start at $100. Behavior consultations start at $250.

We took the entry level dog training group course and it was a fantastic experience. It was reasonably priced and we still received personalized training. The trainer Zach has an extensive background in training all kinds of animals, impressive academic credentials in the field, and most importantly - was amazing with us and our dogs. He made the class fun, he taught the concepts in a tangible, approachable way, and he was effective. Both myself and our dog feel much better equipped to continue our training at home, thanks to the strong foundation we received from Zach at A Pleasant Dog.

My dog has some anxiety-type issues, and Jenn was great during the evaluation. She was very thorough with her questions, while at the same time observing Emma's behaviors. We are still working through the issues and hope to have a calmer, happier dog in the very near future

We had a very expensive ($250) introduction session but this place came highly recommended so we happily paid. We went through basic clicker training and then saw exposure to the decoy dog where our new shelter dog's reactivity was observed. We remarked that this was what was most important for us to work on with them. After this introductory session, they refused to get back to us despite multiple emails and calls referencing our concerns and desire to improve our dog's behavior. Only after we stated in no uncertain terms that this was a big issue for us did they get back to us. By that point we had already heard back from and booked a new trainer where we're already seeing better results in a shorter time frame.

A Pleasant Dog, Jenn, and her incredible staff genuinely saved us! When we learned that our giant breed Great Dane, English Mastiff was reactive, I was devastated and lost. My vet referred us to APD. We were met with sincere kindness, compassion, and an abundance of knowledge and expertise! We immediately started a plan for success and have learned how to help our literal giant baby live her happiest, healthiest and safest life! Jenn and her team have excellent specialty relationships with other care providers and we were also able to identify pain and anxiety in our boxer pitty babe - leading to a sustainable and long term care plan. I only wish that I had met the APD Team sooner, and had started with them when my girls were puppies. If you are reading this looking for confirmation that A Pleasant Dog is the right choice for your family, I promise you it is. Make the call. ❤️
