A Plus Dog Training

Dawn is AMAZING! My brother & I took both of our pups (at the same time) for training, his girl, Luna, excelled & was able to come home after the 2 weeks. At the week and a half mark, Dawn called me & asked to keep my dog, Binx for an extra week, if needed, possibly longer. He wasn't engaging, only wanted to play with Luna, & used his weight (85lbs) to refuse to do anything, which is what he was doing at home with me. As much as I wanted him home, I had him stay the extra week. Dawn called me & washed all my worries away, I was worried he would continue to push back & become resentful- think I abandoned him & shut down. She reassured me that he was far from a lost cause & just needed to be away from Luna because he's codependent with her & really wanted to see how he would behave without her there. It worked. I thought it was going to be another 2 weeks before I'd be able to pick him up, she called me a few days later & said he had finally started engaging, was listening well, & would be ready by the weekend. Just a few extra days & he finally caught on. I took him with the complaint of him using his weight to control me, had anxiety when left alone, wouldn't listen to basic commands, would trample the kids in my home, & was concerned he may be dog aggressive. He made friends with all the dogs he was in contact with at training, didn't show any aggression. He now- knows basic obedience, walks extremely well, does great in his kennel for longer periods of time when left alone, & won't jump all over the kids. Over all just a better listening, more calm dog! He is still a puppy so I give him grace- but we when I was training at home with him before, he didn't listen to me to the point where I wasn't sure if he even knew his own name, he ignored & refused with me that bad. Dawn, THANK YOU! I had consultations with other trainers before finding Dawn, originally wanting to do in home training, completely against boarding him somewhere. I don't regret it one bit & it helped not only him become less codependent with me, but also me less codependent with him. He was a huge concern for me for a while & pretty much running my life. I needed to know he could be somewhere else, with someone else, & other dogs, & be okay. After not loving any of the other trainers I met with face to face, I had signed both dogs up with Dawn just after a phone call, that's how much I liked her & trusted her! I don't just give my baby to anyone. Binx & Luna LOVED her! & I really appreciated her wanting to keep him longer, believing in him, & taking the extra mile to get him where he needed to be. Not many people will put in that much extra work. I'll be boarding with her in the future when needed, 10000% recommend. I trust him now, & he trusts me.

I dropped my 5 month old German Shepard for the 2 week board and train! I got back a wonderfully trained dog. Nova before training would jump on me for her food and water, had a lot of issues potty training and didn’t really understand the difference between yes and no. She has been back home for about a week now and we have continued training and she is doing great!! She can sit, lay down, knows how to wait and come back! I work so much I didn’t have time to properly train her but I would definitely recommend Shambala Dog. My girl is so much more calm and was able to get trained during my busy schedule. It was more than training too. My dog learned how to eat all of her food and gained weight to be healthy again! The trainer also noticed my dogs ankles had a little issue and ordered her some compressions to help during training as well. 100% worth the money. Additionally I received photos and videos and updates of Nova every day! It really eased my mind to make sure she was happy and healthy!

We got our 9month old Akita back from Dawn and I am very happy!! ! I honestly had no idea what to expect or how our dog will behave afterwards. We’ve never sent any of our dogs to training before so this is all new to us. However, I was very surprised that our little girl changed for the better. 1. If Akemi (our dog) jumps on the couch/bed and we tell her “off” she’ll get off and won’t get on again until we let her 2. She pretty much stopped gnawing on us 3. She doesn’t counter surf anymore (thank god) 4. She hasn’t stolen a sock since we got back 5. If we tell her to stay, she’ll just wait till we get back In short: my girlfriend and I finally feel like we’re able to coexist with Akemi in our home without having to chase her down if she’s doing something bad. She still has puppy energy especially when she’s excited but still so much calmer than before. You can really see that Dawn cares about your dog.
