A Very Good K9

Stop searching, you found the right trainers. We recently moved to the area and our two dogs (German Shepherd and Mix) were in need of some socialization and obedience. I reached out via e-mail and heard back from Austin very quickly. I spoke with him and instantly knew it was exactly what I was looking for. We decided on the Board and Train program for both ours and it exceeded our expectations. Austin and Hailey updated us continuously with pictures and videos and I never had an ounce of doubt that our dogs were not being treated as if they were their own. My shepherd has never done stairs, he was a rescue and has shown intense fear around stairs, that’s no longer. Both are e-collar trained and the freedom they now have after being trained on them is life changing. I am no longer tethered to them via a leash, they have the freedom to be dogs. The follow up after the board and train answers any and all questions and allowed us to have a better understanding of our dogs and how happier they are knowing what is expected of them. We used to avoid having company over because of how our dogs handled guests, that’s an after thought, they respond to commands instantly and know what is expected of them. The knowledge learned through the follow up training has allowed us to even educate guests to better understand dogs. The relationship that has developed between our dogs and us has changed for far better than we could have ever imagined. If I could rate higher I would. There’s plenty of choices in dog trainers, choose the right one and choose A Very Good K9, they understand dogs and allow the breed to shine and freedom they deserve. There will be no regret in any of the experience. Leaving aside their true gift of dog training, you’ll also take comfort in that they are truly great people. Forever grateful for the life changing experience with Austin and Hailey.

Highly recommend Austin and Haley they are amazing trainers. I have a mastiff mix (male)who was about a year old and just neutered but his testosterone had already hit. He had become dog aggressive and reactive. He was also having bad puppy attention behaviors towards me (mom). Jumping up biting at my arm pulling on me after walks ect. After just 1 week of training I saw a big difference in my pup. After about 3 months of training he is a completely different dog on and off leash and no longer having attention behaviors towards me. The dog aggression is minimal we are still working on it but he is comming along great. Austin and Haley are both very professional in thier training and very personable as well. Always comming up with new ideas to try out. Excited for more adventures to come.

As longtime clients of A Very Good K9, when my husband and I were looking for someone to help with our two dogs at our wedding, we knew they were the best people to reach out to! Haley was amazing from the start of the whole process, going through the schedule for the day with me and assessing the best way they could help. Haley and Austin are a great duo. They are patient and thorough, treat the dogs like their own and help not only your dog gain confidence, but also you as their owner. We did a 2 week B&T for our puppy Kota and she came home with much more composure and ability to self regulate. The follow up sessions that are included in your B&T are wonderful refreshers for you and your dog. Humans often need more training and reminders than the dogs - and as much as I wish my family and I were as natural as Haley and Austin, they are always there and willing help.
