ABC's of Dog Training

My family and I rescued a dog to bring to our home. We have two small children, my daughter who is 6 months old and my son was 3. The way the dog interacted with our kids was of concern as well as the initial training. Before looking for a trainer we thought we could do it ourselves (we already had one dog). The first week was like having a new infant. Constant bathroom accidents, a dog that never listened,frustration, and our newly renovated home being destroyed. We were considering returning the dog cause we did not want our house wrecked, but our son feel in love with the dog. So looked for a trainer. Being in Real Estate in am well adversed in online research. We spoke with and interviewed over 10 different dog trainers cause we were very concerned about leaving are dog with a complete stranger. There was something about Michael from ABC’s of Dog Training that stood out. I felt he was genuine from the start and really took the time to listen to what was important to us as oppose to tell us all the things he could do. We had called multiple time before making the decision and he was always easy to reach. So we decided to work with Michael. He could tell how stressed we were and picked up Minnie (our dog) on a few days notice. We sent the dog away for three weeks in a board and dog training program. When our dog came back we were shocked. There were 10 different commands Minnie learned and almost magically she came back house broken and potty trained. Giving our dog away was very scary but the best investment we decided to make. Mike has been diligent in following up with us to complete our two additional training sessions with Minnie. What I also was very impressed with was that he was available for phone support as well when I had questions, it felt good that this was not someone who took my money and disappeared once the training was over. From start to finish Mike really cared about our needs and that things worked well for us. He become a friend to our family and kids. It feels good knowing my dog went to safe place and we now have a friend to help us with our dog for life.

I highly recommend ABC's of Dog Training! We are incredibly grateful for Micheal Mei and Jeanna Munch's guidance and help with our dog, Daffy!! I can't say enough great things about the training we have and continue to receive. We have learned so much with all of their knowledge and experience and Daffy has benefited tremendously. We rescued Daffy in March so we don't know her full history, but was told she was sweet, energetic and in need of obedience training. Mike and Jeanna knew who Daffy was from the very first meeting and have taught us so much in order to help her gain confidence and become a wonderful member of our family. We are so thankful!!

I can't say enough about Mike and Joe. When we first got Lily the intention was to put her on as a grief therapy dog at the funeral home I own. This was never done before in New York State so it was new to everyone involved. Mike and Joe met with us and found out exactly what we wanted Lily to do. They suggested extensive obedience training followed by fine tuning Lily to do what we want at the funeral home. Lily responded immediately to the training. We found that Mike and Joe's recommendations were right on target. The training required Mike and Joe to come weekly and for us to work with her daily- and when we didn't you could see the difference in her behavior. Lily was recently certified as a therapy dog and we couldn't be prouder of her or happier with the training and care Mike and Joe gave her. I would highly recommend them for any training needs.

I can say ABC's of Dog Training is by far the best dog training business I have been through. I've tried two different dog trainers within New York City and had very bad experiences with both trainers, After those trainers I felt trainers in New York were all out for the money, but speaking to Michael and allowing him to train my pitbull, i learned so much in his first visit and saw a major result in my dog the first day that i ever did with these other trainers. I would recommend ABC's of Dog training to anybody because working with Michael I felt relax, comfortable didn't feel like this was a business transaction. After those few weeks I was extremely proud of my pitbull and the service Michael provided.
