Ability Dogs of Arizona

If I could rate Ability Dogs 10 stars I would. When our family encountered a diagnosis for our daughter at 10 years old we didn’t know how much independence she would have or what that would look like. After they evaluated her agility dog and agreed to train with her , we didn’t find a solution but we did find hope. The second we met Sarah her approach to not only our dog but also my daughter was a perfect match. Not only did she come with an educated background, she came with empathy and understanding of how important this was to our whole family. She immediately addressed all surface concerns but was incredibly skilled at building a foundation for long term success. She hasn’t trained just our Ruger, she has become an integral part of our whole families approach to the training our service animal and the needs of our daughter. Ability Dogs of Arizona gave us more than training, they gave us the gift of safety, security, compassion, and a relationship for ongoing health that we will never be able to say thank you enough for.

This organization has been so great for my daughter with lots of special needs. Sarah has been an excellent trainer and has been very patient and understanding. Our dog loves his training sessions and looks forward to them each week. They do want a lot of partnership with the person with the disability to do a lot of the training which is great, but important to know if they are up to it! Also, so thankful for the scholarships that help families engage in this. Overall a fantastic program.
