Above the Standard Dog Training

Above the standard dog training has absolutely been a lifesaver for us. We had a husky that was shot and killed by a neighbor so we always kept our other dogs on a line so they couldn’t get out because our property is not fenced in. Now our husky and Belgian malinois have both had recall training after a month of being boarded and trained with above the standard. My dogs don’t leave the property. They stay where we can see him and it’s truly a weight off of our shoulders, not having to worry about our neighbor shooting another one of our pets so thank you so much to above the standard you guys are amazing ❤️

I have been so impressed with the training tools and advice that I have received from Above the Standard dog training. In just 3 sessions my dog has improved 90% in the areas I was having difficulties with. This being the 3 trainer I had used and had just about thrown the towel in on ever correction my 2 1/2 year old dogs habits. My trainer Jim is always will to take questions and give advice and suggestions. Using a equal and balance training method that really goods. I would 100% recommend them for dog training.

I had this fantastic organization/company work with me and my Standard Poodle. My pup was pretty insecure and got distracted very easily. They trained her and me to deal with these issues and now we can go out in public without her going off the rails. I really believe their Train programs can handle any training issues you could have. Above the Standard Dog Training is an excellent group of dog trainers, truly great people, that I appreciate and highly recommend.

ATS is awesome. I have had my girl home a couple of weeks after a few weeks of their board and train program. I honestly had some trepidation dripping off my 6 month old pup for several weeks, but I could not be happier. She lived with Jim, his family, and his dogs during training, so her manners in the house match her manners away from home. Everyone says that she is a different dog. She’s still a wound up puppy, as she should be, but I know how to manage her now and control her when needed. There’s still work to do on my end, and Emily and Jim have stayed in touch to make sure that we have all the support we need, and I know that will always be the case. Give them a call. Taking our dog Baxter to Emily and Jim was the best decision we ever made. Baxter was a four month old puppy when he went to Above the Standard and Jim worked very hard with him. After four weeks of private weekly training, my husband and I decided that Baxter needed daily training so we sent him for three weeks to live with Jim and his family. Jim brought Baxter to our house each week so that we could work with him. I’m just amazed that all of us, including me, have really improved with training and behavior modification.(I wanted to treat Baxter as a baby and that doesn’t work!). We highly recommend Emily and Jim. They are truly dedicated to working with dogs and their compassion is heartwarming. Thank you, Emily and Jim for all you have done for Baxter and our family.
