Active K9 Training Solutions

Our daycare trainer initially referred us to Missy to work with our highly active (and reactive,) very powerful German Shepherd mix, Meriah, on walks, as she was exhausting the daycare staff. Missy had already been studying positive behavior training with our trainer, and quickly convinced us she was a natural for this profession. She worked closely with us to train us to be active pet parent participants in Meriah’s rehabilitation, as she became increasingly successful socializing her into her walking pack. Meriah adored Missy, and looked forward to every minute with her. We are convinced that if Missy had not become part of Meriah’s life- as well as ours- Meriah would have had a very short life. We will be eternally grateful to Missy for the positive impact she has had on our beautiful girl, as well as on us. 😎

Missy was a colleague of mine for many years. I myself am in the pet industry as well, and she is someone I have referred clients and friends to on countless occasions, including my own dog. I know if someone is trying to manage a difficult dog she is the one to take on the task. Her patients, love for her work, and the ability to connect with animals is something you don’t find often. The knowledge she has gained from the many years in the industry shows with how she handles her clients and the training techniques she uses. She doesn’t just use training techniques on your dog, she customized a training regiment specifically to your dogs personality and needs. I cannot speak more highly of her. She is one of the best trainers I have worked with.

I adopted my dog Ghost knowing full well I was going to run into some issues due to him being mostly blind. He was obviously not well trained and just need some patience for a fuller life. Missy basically trained the both us! I learned how to be more patience with him and what the best way was for basic dog walking on a leash and Ghost learned his new name and how to wait for my voice to follow direction. I don’t think the adoption would have taken so well had I not gone to Misty for dog training.
