I'm 66 yrs and got a mini dachshund puppy. WHAT WAS I THINKING. I read how dachshund are hard to potty train besides the puppy part. I checked training facilities and found Advanced Canine. I met with Mark and was very impressed with him and his facilities. I enrolled my puppy, he was there for 3 weeks. My dogs main trainer was Ali. Amazing woman who loves dachshund. My puppy has confidence and they gave me confidence that I could do this. My puppy may be home but we are still a member of the Advanced Canine family. Thank you to all the ladies and Mark for setting my puppy and more importantly his owner for success.

I treated my dog like my best friend and it created many bad habits some of which were unacceptable to us and our neighbors. Our choices were to get help for my furry friend and myself or give him away to someone else which was unacceptable to us. We were referred to Mark and Advanced Canine Development from a neighbor. We went through the introduction with Mark and it didn’t take long for him to say the dog is not the problem I was and my lack of leadership. Within 5 days the training staff had my dog doing things that amazed me. They work with positive reinforcement, mostly treats and praise. I was a little harder for them to train. They spent many hours working directly with us. The walks out in public through large crowds really built confidence that we can walk down the street and have control over our dog. We will be joining the group on excursions like walking through Wellen Park farmers market. Thanks to the Staff and Mark for a job well done.

I cannot say enough good things about Advanced Canine Development. My 9-month-old Goldendoodle, Orla, spent five weeks there in their board-and-train dog training program, and the results have been truly remarkable. The training program is run by a team of dedicated trainers led by Mark, and they clearly work very hard and support each other. Ali was Orla’s primary trainer, and she did an absolutely wonderful job with her. Not only did Ali train Orla, she genuinely cared about Orla’s wellbeing while she was there, which meant a lot to me as an owner. Orla struggled with shadow chasing and behaviors related to canine OCD. Before training, I was honestly very worried about how we would manage these behaviors long-term. After five weeks with the team, she came home a much calmer, better-mannered puppy who is able to focus and relax much more easily. Seeing that change in her has been an incredible relief. What impressed me most was the professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care the trainers show for the dogs they work with. It is clear they truly understand canine behavior and are deeply committed to helping each dog succeed. Ali is an exceptional trainer, and Orla was very lucky to have her guiding and caring for her throughout the program. I’m very grateful to Mark, Ali, and the entire team for the work they did with Orla. If you are looking for professional dog training or a board-and-train program, I would highly recommend Advanced Canine Development. Sending Orla there was one of the best decisions I’ve made for her future and for the harmony of our home.

We reached out to ACD because my border collie/cattle dog mix and my fiance’s goldendoodle began to be aggressive with each other after 2 years of living together. We had small spats in the past, but needed to seek professional after getting hurt in the process of splitting them up. They gave us the training and showed us a way to be able to live in our home with both dogs. They sent pictures, videos, and updates every day during the board and train program. And even after the program, continue to be a resource and are available with our questions and concerns. Mark, the owner, is honest, consistent, and experienced. (You will see by his 2 malinois shepherds, he means business!) Ali, our trainer, has been wonderful to work with. She took the time to guide us every step of the way, even if it meant coming in on a day off to help us. Thanks to her patience and guidance, both myself, fiance, and our dogs gained the confidence we needed to bring peace and balance back into our home.
