After realizing we needed professional help with our puppy, we set out to find a training facility that could guide both her and us. Advanced Canine Development exceeded every expectation. They truly listened to our concerns, took the time to understand our goals, and crafted a clear plan for our family. While she’s still young and a work in progress, we are in a drastically better place and feel completely equipped with the tools to help her succeed. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Advanced Canine Development and the incredible work they have done with our boy, Chester. Chester came to us as a stray and was extremely reactive. Walking him was nearly impossible, and we often felt overwhelmed trying to manage his reactions to other dogs as we could not take him anywhere. We knew he needed professional help, and working with Advanced Canine Development has truly changed our lives. The transformation has been amazing. Chester can now walk calmly on a leash, is no longer reactive toward other dogs, and, most importantly, listens to and responds to our commands. We have gained so much confidence in handling him, and Chester is happier and more relaxed because of it. We can actually go to the park for walks or markets and he ignores other dogs! What impressed us most was the patience, knowledge, and dedication that went into helping Chester. They didn’t just train him—they taught us how to communicate with him and understand his needs and signs and what they mean so we can correct and/or prevent escalation. Seeing how far our once-reactive stray has come is incredible. We are so grateful to Advanced Canine Development for giving us the tools to help Chester become the happy, well-behaved dog we always knew he could be. Advanced Canine Development is amazing! Mark and his crew provide individual training to each dog and their owners. During the consultation Mark helps you identify the goal areas you would like to work on with your fur baby. All of the trainers are very professional and it is obvious they love dogs! My dog turned 5 while there and they celebrated her birthday and sent me pictures. Haley was our trainer and she was amazing. I brought Saige home last week and she is like a different dog. They also offer Pack Walks on Saturday in downtown Punta Gorda and walks on Sunday from the facility. Mark and several of the trainers are there and they continue to provide support and training during the walks. I highly recommend ACD if you want the best training in our area. Give them a call.
