We rescued a sweet border collie mix, but she was very reactive and scared of everything. She was so reactive, she was making our older dog reactive in response and walks were miserable for us. She is not treat motivated, where my other dog is, and I was getting no where by myself. After she had training with Kayla, she is a new dog! She is doing so much better and Kayla was walking her near other dogs after a few sessions. I almost cried when I heard that. It has changed our life! We are now going hiking with her and if there is a trigger that is getting her anxious now we have the tools to fix it. We also are training our older dog with what we have learned. Could not recommend Kayla enough! This was so amazing for us. My husband and I also have weird hours and she was able to accommodate some changes with drop off which was great.

Bradyn and Kayla tailor the training to your wishlist and in 8 sessions, we now walk our girl on a leash instead of her dragging us. She also loved the outings Bradyn and Kayla took her on to better socialize her and she now likes her crate, and listens to us. Bradyn and Kayla have created a very calming atmosphere and we highly recommend them, you and your dog will love them!

Highly recommend! Kayla and Bradyn are knowledgeable and compassionate trainers who really focus on the needs of the individual in front of them. They're training is often "hands-off" in the sense that they are focused on teaching you, the owner, how to train your dog rather than mindlessly drilling obedience cues. I have personally seen incredible results in dogs labeled "aggressive" that are now able to think through new or stressful situations rather than going straight into panic mode.

Finally a Balanced Trainer and our last. This is our 4th dog trainer and our 2nd German Shepherd. We have tried positive reinforcement dog trainers and negative reinforcement trainers. With positive reinforcement only we struggled with teaching the concepts of no, off limits, and reactivity. Our dogs when in the “red zone”for reactivity were not interested in toys or treats. For negative reinforcement our last trainers method was just to correct everything that triggered them and it was awful. Now enter Adventure Canine. 2 vet clinics referred us to them saying they were amazing and specialized in German Shepherds. They provided us with a schedule, were excellent on communication and explanation on their methods, used treats/toys for positive reinforcement and redirection of negative behaviors, and showed when and how to utilize leash/tools to be successful when a dog has red zoned/reactive. Our 5.5 year dog (rehomed to us) was taken for training due to reactivity with cat and chickens. Stealing food and toys from our kids. And walk refusals (couldn’t get her to walk a block she would lay down and just try to go home). After two weeks she stopped stealing toys/food from the kids hands, and was able to go on walks. After 4 weeks she can be around our chickens leashed and muzzled and isn’t constantly trying to attack or chase them. In the month they trained her progress was incredible and we are so grateful. If we have any further issues we will come back and get help or if we get another dog in future with behavioral issues we would come back in a heartbeat.
