Adventure Canine Training

Brooke has been incredible with my reactive dog. He was a very difficult case, and I quickly learned that traditional, strict training methods weren’t going to work for him. Instead of trying to force him into a mold, Brooke took the time to understand his history, genetics, personality, and what makes him happiest as a dog. She created an individual plan based on him and was always willing to adjust when something wasn’t working. What I appreciate most is that Brooke genuinely loves dogs and wants them to be the happiest, healthiest versions of themselves. She doesn’t believe in being strict just for the sake of being strict — she looks for what actually works for the individual dog. A huge part of our work together has been finding positive outlets and adventures that build the relationship between my dog and me. Brooke helped me understand that I may not be able to “cure” his reactivity, but we could find the best solutions for both of us, give him the exercise and enrichment he needs, and help us have a much better relationship. One of the biggest changes has been the dog park. Before working with Brooke, he couldn’t go to a dog park at all. Now, he can safely enjoy it, and it has become his favorite outlet. In fact, he would much rather have that opportunity than take a neighborhood walk on leash — and Brooke helped us recognize and embrace what works best for him. I’m so grateful for Brooke’s patience, creativity, knowledge, and genuine love for dogs. She didn’t just teach my dog commands; she helped me understand my dog and find a way for us to thrive together. I highly recommend her to anyone with a challenging or reactive dog, especially if you’re looking for someone who will truly see your dog as an individual.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Brooke and her team at Adventure Canine Training. A friend recommended them a few years ago when I was dealing with aggression and behavior issues with my dog, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. They didn’t just train Georgie, they trained me on how to handle high-stress situations and better understand him with patience and confidence. We are so thankful they’ve been in our lives for the past three years. They’re still so supportive, helpful, and truly love Georgie like their own. Forever grateful for them and the things they do.

Brooke is not only incredibly knowledgeable about training but also awesome to work with - she consistently kept us up to date throughout the board and train with texts, pictures, and videos. She goes through a very comprehensive program covering all angles. Now that the board and train is completed, we feel that we have a life long partner to help Hudson retain what he learned and continue to improve on it. Would highly recommend!

I recently enrolled my 4-month-old puppy in the Puppy Foundations course at Adventure Canine Training, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Brooke did an excellent job working with my pup, helping her build essential skills and confidence. The course focused on what my dog specifically needed which was play manners with other dogs, this is crucial for her socialization. As a bit of a scaredy cat, she really needed this exposure, and Brooke was so patient and encouraging. I also appreciated the emphasis on recall training and some simple obedience. Overall, the environment was positive and supportive, making it a fantastic place for both puppies and their owners.
