Benny and Ashley, you both are the best trainers I could ask for. We took our boy Bandit to them after he was showing signs of fear aggression. Bandit has been through a lot in his life, and I rescued him from a backyard breeder when he was just 5 weeks old. Bandit was also a Parvo survivor. After we got through his multiple health issues, it was time for us to let him see the world. It was never a positive experience going on an outing with him; he would have his ears back, tail tucked, growling or barking at people walking near, and even get stress colitis. I refrained from taking him out because it was clear he didn't enjoy it, and I lacked knowledge on how to coach him through it. Not only was fear aggression problematic for us, Bandit was a terrible leash biter. Getting the leash out of a Pitbull's mouth who really likes to tug was not easy; the more I tugged, trying to get it out of his mouth, the more he thought we were playing. Bandit is a super strong boy and would pull me around everywhere. We did private lessons with Ashley, which gave us a great jump start on the board and train. It was time for him to board and train. I was terrified that Bandit would get to worked up without me. Benny went over the instructions on what to do when we arrived to drop him off. We had to do what was best for Bandit, not be emotional when we dropped him off, and make it a big thing. We took him straight back to his run. This plan worked very well. Bandit went in muzzled, tail tucked, ears back, and eyes wide. The NEXT day, I received a video of Bandit with no muzzle being trained outside with Benny. Benny was rubbing him and playing with him, and Bandit looked happy. It took Bandit no time to trust him. Over the next three weeks, we received multiple detailed videos, pictures, and reassuring texts from Benny. Benny even took Bandit on outings. Bandit looked so confident and excited to be there. Not only was his confidence improving, but he was being so obedient. No more leash-pulling or biting. He was heeling and sitting when instructed. When we arrived, Benny and Ashley were sitting outside with Bandit on his place bed. We even distracted Bandit, and very few times did Bandit break place, and when he did, they showed us how to correct him properly. They went over his continued training plan with us and answered any questions we had regarding his training. They had me do some of the training while I was there and gave corrections to me. The videos they send each week makes things so much easier because you have the videos to look back on if you start to struggle. It was safe to say that Benny was Bandit's best friend. I questioned if Bandit even missed me because he kept going back up to him during pick up haha. When I took Bandit home, his behavior, confidence, and obedience were top-tier. I truly can't thank these two enough. We are going on an outing on Monday with Benny so that Benny can show us how to properly handle Bandit in public. Benny really goes above and beyond. I recommend this place to so many people who struggle like I once did. Me and Bandit have been able to build a bigger bond. Bandit loves training, and I love training with him. This has changed his and our lives for the better.
