Rich is the best there is. I'm so blessed to have been able to work with him with multiple dogs. He's taken us from can't be in public, to, can be off leash in public. It's like a miracle, a totally different dog. Rich is an excellent teacher, he's got patience to spare, never gets his feathers ruffled, no matter how difficult the situation. I can't recommend Akina K9 highly enough. We drove seven hours round trip for the better part of a year go to go him. He's worth driving ANY distance! He will help you have a relationship with your dog you never thought was possible.

Akina K9 has been amazing.. Me and my family's journey with dog training has been a blessing with Rich. What started with two wild dogs from the shelter, about to be euthanized, turned into a loving home with two wonderful trained pets and trained dog owners. Simply the best.. My first meeting with Rich was to have my 16 week old Labrador retriever Harry evaluated... to my chagrin Rich said that Harry has "high prey drive"UGH I knew I had my work cut out for me. Fast forward, my sweet velociraptor has blossom with Rich's guidance into not a good dog but a GREAT dog!. Rich is a trainer that is patient, has great communication skills and a very calm confident attitude that is contagious. Rich you're a dog trainer who is a Rock Star. Thank you for all you do.

Working with Richard at Akina K9 has been a game changer for our dog Jersey! His in person sessions and commitment to training at all times (even just texting us back when we have questions) has helped us immensely. Our dog has improved with dog aggression, anxiety, and is so much more well behaved. It worked so well that a neighbor noticed the change and started training with him as well. One huge thing we’re working on now is integrating a new baby into our home. Our dog’s behavior when we brought home our little one was scary and we didn’t know what to do. Working with Richard has made a massive difference and we are now confident and comfortable with our newborn and dog at home. And finally, we now have a trusted person to leave our dog with whenever we leave town. Before going to a happy pet tail, we never found a kennel that we would trust and had a hard time leaving, but we don’t worry when we take jersey to them for a stay! We know she’s in good hands. I would recommend Akina K9’s training and a happy pet tail boarding to anyone!
