I can't say enough about Marci. I was searching for a reputable trainer to help train one of my German Shepherds to be my service dog. I wanted to make sure I followed guidelines the ADA uses, instead of slapping on a vest like a lot of people are starting to do, just so they can take their dog anywhere. I had trained dogs in obedience in my past, but had no idea the requirements, and actually, what is expected of a service dog. It was an eye opener. I started with Marci with one of my dogs and did the appropriate classroom training and then we went to the public access part. Marci was flexible and patient and gave even this Ex-Dog trainer some new tools and tricks. My father passed away suddenly and it was time for my service dog to show her stuff in an airport and traveling on an airplane. It was a quick, stressful morning and my Tessa stepped up to the plate and actually did her job without me even asking. She sensed my behavior and went right to work. Tessa acted like she had been doing her job for years and flying/traveling was no big deal. Just what you want a service dog to do - step up when needed. I would text Marci updates and showed my surprise on how great Tessa did and Marci's words....."Trust your dog". Her training skills are patience, rewarding, positive. No harsh, domineering training here at all. AND she accomplishes what needs to be done to make your dog a better dog. I now have taken 3 of my German Shepherds through the Service Dog training protocol and feel comfortable that they know what they need to know and how to act when in public and when called to perform their job.
