All About Dogs Training and why I recommend them. Three ½ years ago I brought home an adorable Australian Shepard puppy. This was the first time I raised a dog from a puppy, and the first time I purchased a puppy from a breeder. Clark is the name of our Australian Shepard. The Internet said: Active, good family dog, smart, athletic, mid-size, and around 40-65 pounds for the males. I thought this would be a good match for me moving into my 60’s and wanting to stay active. I have been an active individual since childhood and into my adult years as well. I played fast pitch softball from 9 years of age to 21 years of age, was an all-star catcher, played tennis in high school, and in city leagues as an adult. I also-ran marathons, skied, kayaked. I own my own business, but never have I been so challenged than training this active, defiant, smart, Aussie named Clark! Clark was a challenge. I would go to the park with Clark and try to wear him out. When it was time to go home he would not let me leash him up; it was a battle and would leave me bleeding on my arm from his biting me in the struggle to catch and leash him up. I would cry while walking home. Though I had Clark in puppy classes, they were not working at all! Then a miracle happened! A client of mine introduced me to Jenni & Sandy from All About Dogs Training Facility. Jenni assessed Clark’s behavior with me in our home. When the assessment was completed Jenni told me that Clark needed two weeks of boot camp at her facility. I cried as they left together, yet I got Clark back in a week, and since that day my Clark has been well behaved, and well loved by all! Because Clark is an active dog they suggested we start agility when he was a year old, and now we compete in agility with North American Dog Agility Council (NADAC). I've been a part of all about dogs for about 4 years. It is always been a great experience I've had lots of fun training and working with my dog. The trainers are always looking out for everyone's dog so that they're not overworked, even on the harder days when it's too hot or too cold they back off the length of the session so the dogs aren't overworked. I have the highest regard for the trainers I recommend all about dogs to anyone that wants to have a better relationship with their dog.
