All About The K-9

From our very first session, Heather was patient, understanding, and truly tuned in to my dog's needs. She never rushed the process, and always prioritized creating a calm, supportive environment that allowed my dog to come out of his shell at his own pace. Her approach is gentle, consistent and backed by real knowledge and experience. Over time, I watched my dog grow from a timid, anxious pup into a much more confident and happy companion. He's now able to go on walks without fear, meet new people with curiosity instead of panic, enjoy group classes, and we even built up his (and my own) confidence to compete in dock diving this summer, and also pass his Canine Good Citizen test — something I never thought would be possible. Beyond the training itself, Heather was also an incredible support system for me. She taught me how to better understand my dog, how to read his signals, and how to advocate for him in everyday situations. I always felt empowered, never judged, and genuinely cared for. If you're looking for a trainer who is not only skilled but also truly compassionate and dedicated, I cannot recommend Heather enough. She’s changed both my dog's life and mine — and I'll be forever grateful. We’ve been going to Heather for about two years now and we continue to go because we have so much fun. 5 stars all around - thank you Heather!!!!!

My 3-year-old cattle dog mix, Reggie, has been working with Heather since January, and we've seen so much improvement! He tends to become reactive & aggressive when he is scared. He used to lunge, bark, and growl at people and other dogs, especially when they got too close. After working in private classes with Heather, we've been able to get him comfortable enough to join group classes! Reggie has learned to trust Heather and build a connection with her. This trust has resulted in him being able to work off-leash, letting her feed him treats from her hand & letting her pet him. We've even worked our way up to removing his muzzle during some classes! Reggie is always so excited to go to school & work with Ms. Heather! 😊🐾

We have loved our training with Heather! She is friendly and knowledgeable about not only giving dogs commands, but also the reasoning behind those commands to help you better understand how to train your dog. Her corrections are always gentle but firm, and never aggressive. Our dog Leo has absolutely thrived with what she has taught us during class. He is always excited to go to class and starts to whine with excitement about a block away from the school. Lol! We bring him to a ton of public places and people will always comment on his great behavior. I tell everyone about All About The K-9.
