All Breed Rescue & Training is a non-profit rescue and animal training facility in Colorado Springs. We have served the Southern Colorado community for over two decades, rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding forever homes for at-risk dogs across the state, as well as providing training and behavior modification services to all levels of dog owners. Note! All of our dogs are in foster homes, not at the facility! Meet them on our website - click "Adopt"!
Our training program is relationship based and promotes positive reinforcement, utilizing the most scientifically-sound methods available. With classes ranging from Puppy Socialization through competition level nosework, agility, barnhunt, rally, and conformation, we have a class for you!

Hello all, I have a pitbull who is very friendly towards humans, but is frightened by other dogs and turns aggressive and tries to fight them. I am worried because I have a toddler in the home. IM looking for a place or someone who can rehome him.
Call All Breed Rescue and Training. They may be able to help you and keep the dog.
I have a dog that's possessive and aggressive towards other dogs and people but me, other shelters aren't able to take him in, but I wonder if you have any rehabilitation programs to help or perhaps to find a home where he would be a single dog.

I tried several times today but with no response. I will continue to try tomorrow, this whole thing has driven a wedge into my home life. I love Max but this isn't the home for him.
Do you offer any aggressive dog rehabilitation training services? Are there fees if so, and if not would there be any possibility of re homing a dog that doesn't play well with children or other dogs?
My Bo was starting to show some aggressive behaviors. He was elderly. They were able to give some basic changes to keep him and others safe.
I have a chihuahua that I inherited from my cousin. While I am a confirmed dog person, this one is really too much added to my other two dogs and cats. Not housebroken and runs off. I am not well and something needs to give. Can someone take her?

I have a purebred lab puppy, extremely good lines , OFA hips and elbows, parents DNA , and long line of field champions and great dogs. I will donate her ( regularly 12-$1500) to be trained for a disabled veteran. Who can I give the dog to??

Hi Peggy, each dog is an individual and depending on their personality, ability to perform tasks, trainability etc... can help decide if they are a good candidate. They would need to be evaluated. There are organizations that do accept dog donations. We can give you more information if you call our office at 719-264-6460.

I got my deaf dog from them during covid and they were SO SUPPORTIVE that I went straight back to them when I wanted obedience training and it was just as quality! They really follow through for these dogs and that made it very apparent that they're doing this for the dogs (and people)! Teddi, Terje and Laura are to notch and so good to work with! I couldn't have asked for better repeated experiences! Highly recommended! Blessed to have found them and grateful for such a loving bunch of humans with happy dogs!

I came to All Breed Rescue & Training to foster and see if I was ready for a dog again. The amount of support that I got as I tried this out was amazing. I worked with Laura, who made herself available to me and responded to my needs very quickly when something came up. Not only did this include giving me encouragement, but also putting me into contact with the dog's trainer AND medical coordinator.
This experience of opening my heart again came to me at zero cost as a foster. Trips to the vet are generally covered by them, they provided me with food and toys, and I even got a small worksheet of tips, such as how long dog walks are and what behavior needs training.
In the first few days, I could tell I wasn't ready for a dog yet between my work schedule and giving the attention that the dog deserved.
There was no judgement, and only support and gratitude that I gave such a sweet girl a place to live before moving on to her new adventure. The next week of having her was much easier than I thought with such a dedicated wraparound service for me and the dog.

We're an experienced, upper-middle-class family who has owned and loved dogs for 24 years, and we were trying to adopt a 5-year-old dog, exactly the kind of dog most people overlook. We were rejected solely because we have an invisible fence instead of a physical one, despite our previous dogs having lived safely with one for years. No conversation, no home visit, just an automatic no. If your mission is really getting dogs into loving homes, maybe evaluate the actual family in front of you instead of hiding behind a rigid rulebook. We'll gladly give a great home to a dog elsewhere
