My dog Gryffin, whose training began on June 18th 2024 in Austin Texas. They picked him up with our list of tricks that Gryffin can already do, list of requested new tricks (recall, walking in heel on leash, and walk off leash), and behaviors to stop- everything seemed okay. We started our trip halfway around the world and asked for pictures daily but received only 3 pictures over the course of the two weeks despite having to reach out repeatedly and escalating the case to Simon (Austin owner). When we finally had Gryffin returned home, he was jumping, pulling, and barking hysterically. He ran into our home smelling like FECAL MATTER and looking clearly unkempt and cared for. Despite an acknowledgment about the appearance and smell of our dog, there was little the trainer offered that was any better. Our dog did not know a single new command. The trainer was even shocked when we showed him more commands that our dog could do. We asked him how his recall was and his response was “oh, it’s terrible, but it’s something that you can work on…” Simon (Austin branch owner) ended up calling us the following day and expected our response of being very disappointed with the training. Due to the appalling experience, he reported to have fired the trainer and offered us FREE BOARDING FOR THE LIFE OF GRYFFIN and to bring him back to the facility for training for a week. We took him up on the training and Simon took Gryffin back to his house (I am assuming? Because this place doesn’t have an actual physical address, so we aren’t entirely sure where they even take the dogs.) The free boarding for life was definitely a big red flag. The second time around, we expected improved communication. We voiced this in phone calls, texts, and written instructions as we were already feeling guarded and nervous to send Gryffin back. Again, we reached out multiple times asking for pictures that Gryffin was safe and learning new tricks. After many texts and finally demanding that our dog be returned home, we got a response of another apology- which at this point is feeling like empty words. Simon personally dropped off Gryffin after the “completion” of his second training; Gryffin did seem to know some things better but still wasn’t very good (nothing was mastered from our list). This was all guaranteed to improve after reacclimating back home within a couple of days. Simon scheduled a follow up training session for a specific date/time, where he would introduce the E- Collar (there was never any mention of using an electric collar on our dog at any point before and we have been traumatized from previous e-collar experiences). Prior to the scheduled follow up training, we had text and called Simon to discuss continued frustrations, ask for confirmation in writing of the lifetime boarding that was offered, and reconfirm the same date/time of the upcoming training. The day of training, Simon was a no call, no show, again wasting our time! I am not going to be gas lit another second by Simon into thinking that any of this is okay. Our dog is a 7-month-old Bernadoodle that is very mild mannered. There is zero reason he couldn’t have been trained in the 3 weeks he has been at this facility. We are requesting a full refund of what we paid because we are going to have to pay a legitimate company to come and train our boy in what he should have already been trained to do. ***JUST TO LET ANYONE KNOW, ITS ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO REQUIRE YOU TO TAKE DOWN YOUR REVIEW IN ORDER TO GET A REFUND***
