All In Stride Dog Training

After not having a dog for over 20 years we found the perfect rescue dog. She was very smart.as she slept all night, toilet trained, never chewed on anything but her toys, knew basic commands, and was very comfortable with us right from the start. As time went on she became very protective of her environment and us and was not.friendly with anyone or animal that passed.by our house. Not knowing her experience before coming to us I.felt. we needed a trainer to.help us help.her to.be happy. Being such a sweet girl I definitely wanted a trainer who used positive reinforcement and Ellie was recommended by a neighbor. I could not be happier. Right from.the start Ellie could see.she was a.very anxious dog and was always on alert to.protect her space., which was our home and neighborhood, as this was where I would walk her. Every training tip.Ellie gave me made sense and Cocoa being such a smart dog.responded surprising fast to the commands. However, the homework and learning is not going to.work if you, the owner, don't put the time and effort in each day to.bond with your dog and.reinforce what your dog needs to do to be happy. I feel the owner is trained first and then you pass that along to.your dog. My dog is much happier but because of past experiences we don't know about, she.still.has triggers, but I have the knowledge from.Ellie to.deal with them and I have a dog who trusts and loves me and I feel with time and continued practice of skills I learned she just might overcome.them. I am lucky to have smart dog, but I am more.lucky to have had Ellie ( All in Stride Dog Training) as my trainer I know she will be there for me if I need her, but I will definitely miss her weekly visits.
