All-Star Dog Training

We adopted two rescue dogs (Arlo and Opal) in early 2024. Not long afterwards we realized Arlo suffers from anxiety when left alone, and our vet even described him as "unboardable" We brought them to Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Charlotte for some help. We signed them up for a 2 week board and review. The whole staff there are fabulous! Sean, Ale, Ori, Sam and Greyson worked with them both with tremendous success, and the dogs LOVE them. They bent over backwards to help Arlo be more comfortable. My husband and I were very nervous, because we also would be out of the country during this time. Arlo did great the first week and Carly sent me updates via text for both on a regular basis. During the second week however, Arlo started having some issues and showing signs of anxiety. Ale would call me regularly to discuss ideas and options for ways to make Arlo more comfortable. We cannot thank them enough for all they did for our pups, and we will definintely be bringing them back for more fun and refresher classes.

The staff at sit means sit is truly one of a kind! Their knowledge, patience, effort, and care was truly remarkable from start to finish with the training of our 7month old English Mastiff, Stella. We did the 2 week daily training and saw huge improvement and changes with crate manners, leash manners (no more pulling) sitting, knowing when to go and stay in place as well as helping with her anxiety and confidence. For example, she would take an hour to coax out of the house and into the car (trying to lift an 80lb dog) and after training she comes out willingly and jumps right in. We loved our one-on-one trainings where we were able to out into practice what she was learning. to This increased our knowledge and confidence in working with her and enabled us to be consistent at home. The staff also took the time to teach us things we were doing that were reinforce behaviors we were trying to change as well as how to read Stella in social settings (one of her big anxieties). I can’t say enough great things about the staff (HUGE shout out to Sean) and training we received! They really tailor their training to your dog’s unique needs and personalities! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for loving Stella and setting the foundation! We 100% recommend sit means sit!
