Almost Heaven K9 Training

When one of my best friends recommended Almost Heaven K9 training, I was a little skeptical, but I value her opinion. From the first interaction with Becca, we were more than impressed! In three short weeks, she transformed our 6 month old Golden into a calm, sweet, obedient companion. We are so happy! On day one after graduation we enjoyed an off-leash hike with friends and a quiet afternoon at a local brewery. Not only did we enjoy ourselves, Charlie did too! Thank you, Becca!!!!

I have followed Becca 7-8 years now at first I was skeptical. But let me tell you it’s so worth the money and time. It’s a lifestyle change that you will never forget. This is my pocket bully named D.O.G pronounced (Dee O Gee) he’s about to be 7 months old and has recently completed the 3 week board and train program and when I dropped him off he was a BIG safety risk for my 1 year old nephew, he wouldn’t listen when called, he only ever stayed still on his terms, he would go up to everyone in public, bullying his way through life. This training has not only helped him but also me be the leader I needed to be for him. Becca is truly amazing at what she does. Now my anxiety is more under control and he’s following me and trusting me as his leader instead of him living in chaos. If you commit yourself to the training and really study and are ready for the carefree lifestyle with your dog then I say send them! It’s so worth every bit of it. It’s made life better for not only me but for my extended family also. They can now come over and visit without worrying about being pushed around or licked or jumped on and he can calmly enjoy being with us. He’s no longer a safety issue and he’s no longer worrying about what to chew up next now he just relaxes and can be calm and carefree knowing me as a leader will lead! This has changed our life for the better. I can’t wait to continue this lifestyle change with him. As you can see in the first picture this is him in a busy busy store in a downstay and not pulling us in one direction or trying to greet anyone and everyone that walks by. Second and third is him in place and he’s relaxing and being the best boy in the fourth you can see my sliding glass door open and I have a porch full of people out there and the kids are just off the porch screaming and hollering and playing on a water slide and he’s calmly in a down stay and he’s not bolting out the door or running around getting into everyone’s plates and also is very safe. So this program is the best thing you can do for yourself and your companion/ companions. So thank you Becca for every life you change and every life you save.

We had such a great experience working with Becca with our Golden Retriever puppy, Maggie! From the beginning, Becca was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything in a way that made us feel comfortable and confident. She never made us feel judged for asking questions and was always willing to help. Maggie has gained confidence and made great progress, and we’ve learned so much ourselves throughout the process. Becca gave us practical tools and guidance that we can continue using at home, which made training feel realistic and manageable instead of overwhelming. You can tell Becca truly cares about the dogs she works with and wants both the dogs and their families to succeed. We’re so thankful for all of her help and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who is knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in what they do!

Review I've worked with dogs for as long as I can remember, have worked with professional trainers as well. I use e-collars, thought I knew all the things to do. Until we adopted Bodie and Nova last May.. we got them from the shelter and after having recently lost our two older dogs, it was love at first sight and what we thought would be the healing we all needed. Instead, it was quickly becoming complete chaos in a home with an already very busy schedule. I met Becca several years ago thru XC, and was so impressed after seeing her at meets with her dogs that I went up and introduced myself. At the time, I had two older dogs who were both very well trained and we were not in need of her services, but the respect she so calmly commanded with her animals left a huge impression. Fast forward to adopting Bodie and Nova.. they both came to us with issues. Between bladder control problems, stealing food (sometimes raw!) from counters, crate and car anxiety, Houdini escapes.. and the incessant barking. I was mopping floors multiple times a day, forever worrying about who might have been eaten what, having to scream to be heard over the barking of wanting fed or demanding attention, not able to have our loved ones visit without being be jumped on and scratched.. all while trying to manage the activities that come with two teenage boys and my own full time work schedule. I was trying all the things I knew to do, including using e-collars and it just wasn't working. We live very active lives, love the outdoors and to travel and we like to take our fur-babies along for most of our adventures. I knew I needed help, so I reached out to Becca to ask about her program. The thought of them being away for 3wks was very hard, but I can't even begin to express how worth it this training has been. We got daily updates while they were there, pics and lots of videos of their progress which helped so much! They came home better for their time with her and this program, not traumatized from being away or from the training. They can now be calm and relax. They respect commands and boundaries. They are just as playful and loving as they ever were. We can enjoy visits from my Mom and Danny without worrying about them being knocked over or scratched from excited jumping. The boys can walk them with worrying about barking and pulling at other dogs or lunging out at cars. I couldn't imagine how this training could help with bladder control problems, but Becca explained a dog that can control their nervous system can control their bodily functions. That made a lot of sense and I can tell you since they've been home, I'm no longer pulling the mop bucket out 5 and 6 times a day. Truly amazing results. It takes practice and maintenance for sure, but the foundation that Becca has given us only comes from a person that puts their heart and soul into what they are doing. She does exactly that. We are all so thankful to Becca for giving us the tools we needed to be able to fully enjoy our fur-babies and to be able to safely bring them along for all our future adventures! I cannot recommend her highly enough!
