Training with Karlon turned out to be the best decision we made for ourselves and our three year old Hound mix, Hendricks. When we first rescued Hendricks he had been in and out of shelters and rescues for a few months, and was really needing structure and stability, as well as some obedience and behavioral modification. We tried PetsMart training and that was a mistake, certainly not the best option for people dealing with issues like biting and reactivity. The constant throwing of treats and letting them run the show might work for some dogs but it definitely didn't work for our more dominant-natured dog. So after that, we came to Alpha and Omega. The difference after working with Karlon is night and day! Karlon is always so calm and controlled when working with us and our pup, and we couldn't be more thankful for all his guidance. Hendricks was definitely acting out before because he needed us to take the lead and Karlon showed us how to do it! Hendricks is now sitting, staying, heeling and walking on leash like a pro, "leaving it" and holding spot whenever needed, especially when guests first arrive instead of jumping up at and nipping at them. And he is so happy!! He loves the structure and knowing what's expected of him, he is always smiling ear to ear. Best of all, Karlon helped us train Hendricks to understand that our kitty is OFF LIMITS and now we can finally have both our pets in the same room and the dog completely leaves the cat alone. We also have worked on his reactivity and now he can joyfully run around and play with our friend's dog. We even were able to take him on his first camping trip. We are beyond thankful for Karlon and all the work he's done with us. If you train your dogs the right way with the right trainer they will truly shine and live their best doggie life!!!

We are the proud owners of Bella, a mini Goldendoodle. Bella was a very sweet and loving puppy and did many things right. But my husband and I are retired and do a lot of RV travel, staying at campsites and visiting friends and family. For her safety and our peace of mind, we needed for her to obey important commands. I found Alpha and Omega online and reached out to them. Karlon came to our home for Bella’s evaluation. We were immediately struck by Karlon’s calm and caring demeanor, and by the way he gently interacted with Bella. We had struggled with Bella healing, on leash (and hadn’t even considered off leash at that time). But literally, within MINUTES, Karlon had Bella healing and he taught us how to have her do it as well. I could go on and on about our initial experience but in a nut shell, we opted for a one week board and train program . At 10 months old Bella stayed with Karlon at his home. And when she came back to us we were amazed at what she had learned and how absolutely well behaved she was. Karlon was sweet to send pictures and text messages during that one week stay. And he continued to provide positive training tools to reinforce all the wonderful behaviors once she was back home. Bella comes when called, the first time, every time. She stays in the ‘down’ position until released, even with our crazy grandchildren running around in front of her. She heals beautifully on lead and OFF lead. We think the greatest thing of all is that we believe we can trust her to listen and do the right thing. We recently spent one month at a campground in Florida and Bella was able to enjoy the stay without being tied to the trailer because she listened so well to all her commands. It was wonderful for all of us! We highly recommend Alpha and Omega and we want to send a special thanks to Karlon for the care and attention he provided to Bella and her crazy ‘parents’. AlphA and Omega Dog Training did exactly what they said they would do- they helped us build a safe, trusting relationship with our dog, Gus. He came from a high stress shelter with anxious tendencies and Karlon helped us understand his behavior to train him. Karlon changed our lives!! Gus walks without pulling and reacting to other dogs. He listens in the house and responds to "spot" and "down" without angst or a second command. We live our lives with peace of mind- we know we can trust Gus in the house and the car.
