Alpha Dog Training

"Alex" is our 3 year old purebred Collie. Over recent years, Alex has had serious behavioral issues. She would always pull on her leash (so strongly it would pull me down the street). She'd charge at bike riders, joggers and worryingly kids. I didn't realize that we were bringing Alex up without proper leadership. Alpha Dog Training actually fixed Alex in one session. "Bella" is our 7 month old female Akita. Bella was counter-surfing, jumping up on the kitchen counter and grabbing and eating anything she could get her paws on. She was also getting into the trash and eating garbage. She was bolting out the front door, wouldn't come when we called her and had submissive urination. Alpha Dog Training, amazingly, fixed all of these issues in one visit. They trained Bella and taught us the modern technology of dog training. First, they explained why playing tug-of-war and wrestling with Bella was contributing to making Bella think she was the Alpha dog. So we stopped that and began talking to Bella in dog language, not human language as Marshall showed us. Bella is now a calm and confident puppy. Hooray for Alpha Dog Training!

About five weeks ago, I bought a Golden Indian dog, Nita, from a breeder in Utah. The dog was untrained and unsocialized (she was 2-1/2 months old). After numerous puppy accidents and mishaps I knew I needed to train her. I wanted her trained in basic puppy manners, agility and therapy (I want to use her in the READ program). I called Marshall Tanner with Alpha Dog Training. He was so helpful and supportive. He was always sensitive, knowledgeable, and intelligent in his approach to both Nita and myself. I received two hours of superb training in basic dog commands and outdoor training. I will use Marshall throughout Nita's first year or so for additional training and agility.
