For the board and train do the trainers keep the dog in their own house? How many hours per day do they work with the dog?
Currently, our Board & Trains are housed with our trainers in their individual homes. As for how much time per day is spent actively working with them, that is strictly dependent on the dogs themselves. We work dogs one-on-one, as well as take them out on field trips when they are ready to take their training into more public environments, so it can vary from day to day. We do our best to give each dog the individual time they need in order to help them make progress every day, without ever overextending.

I have a 4mo old GSDmix that bites,jumps , and barks alot. Do y'all have a training class for puppies, if so how long and what is the cost?
Hi Nancy, Yes! We do currently offer a Puppy Program for puppies starting as early as 10 weeks! Rachel goes above and beyond in training and in helping beyond the 4 week process we chose to do. We have so many more tools that we can use to keep our dogs learning and keep them having a purpose/job. Keeps the dogs minds sharp.

Yes! Alpha Instincts Dog Training can teach "old dogs new tricks!" My 10-year-old dog had gotten aggressive on his leash to the point that this "old dog" did not want to walk him. I was doubtful that we could be helped at this point. I described our situation to AIDT and they said they could help. After four seasons with Meagan, Eddie is much calmer in all settings and we are both back to enjoying walks. Meagan was terrific. Her skill and insight made a huge positive difference for Eddie and me. Thank you so much, Meagan and Alpha Instincts Dog Training!
Rachel was wonderful! She loves dogs, and they love her! I learned so much from her- honestly the training is more for the human than the dog. I now feel like I have the tools to continue the training we did with her on our own. We own bully breeds, and this was the first trainer (we contacted and tried a few) that wasn't breed biased!

Wrapping up a "reverse board and train" training package with Rachel and her team for what WAS a highly reactive extremely anxious dog. This item is off the menu on the website, but is more in depth and somewhat cheaper than the traditional board and train. Ultimately Rachel trained me to be my dogs personal dog trainer, and this was key for me as it gave me in depth supervised practice with my "new" dog in very real and challenging scenarios. Results are amazing, I am now confident with my dog in all situations.
