Alpha K9 Connections

Zach took on the challenge of training our two young pups for two weeks. Needless to say, he did a great job. Originally, our dogs would pull on the leash and go to any human or animal seen during a walk. Now we are able to walk without any pulling or distractions. Zach is very professional and friendly, there was never any judgement or doubt from him about the pups, he always shared helpful information to help is continue training at home. Would definitely recommend!

I have two dogs (Thor and Scouty) that I adopted when they were just puppies. They are litter mates and are now 2 years old. Scouty has grown to be extremely territorial and not friendly towards other dogs that enter her space or get too close to her human parents. It was manageable until it got to the point where she could not go to parks for a walk without pulling too hard, barking, and growling at any person or dog we came across on the trails. Also, my girlfriend recently moved in along with her dog (Auggie). Scouty did not get along with Auggie and would growl and be aggressive towards Auggie to the point where they could not be in the same room alone. That’s when I was referred to Zach and Alpha K9 connections. Scouty went to Zach for the 4 week board and train program. After Scouty graduated, we began our at home lessons and I began to see Scoutys behavior, confidence, and listening skills were through the roof. I was beyond impressed. Scouty not only now gets along with Auggie, but now they play and cuddle with each other. We take Scouty for walks and she doesn’t react whatsoever to other people or dogs. Scout went from only knowing how to sit (when she felt like it) to placing on any object we come across and can maintain a sit or down position for an extended period of time. She is a completely different dog in every best way possible and we could not be happier. Zach did and amazing job and I cannot recommend him enough. Zach’s work is fantastic and his results are impressive, but the best part of working with Zach was his communication and interpersonal skills. Zach gave us frequent updates during Scoutys training, and was very patient and kind in assisting me to become a better dog dad. His advice and tips are worth their weight in gold. With Zach’s help, I can now take Scouty on walks again and our home is at peace. To anyone seeking a dog trainer, I cannot recommend Zach and Alpha K9 Connections enough!

Zach has been our dog trainer for two years, and I can say I highly recommend him! He operates with professionalism and integrity towards his clients and their dogs. Even though my dog was horrible in the beginning, I never felt judged by Zach. In my experience, his teaching style was slow to speak and quick to listen, and when he did speak, it was useful information. As with most new things, it was a little uncomfortable at first, and also very humbling, as I learned it was my own doing that got myself in this predicament with my dog! Now I'm thankful for the balance of truth and non-judgment that I noticed in his teaching style. My dog, Myles, is a very active boxer who loves people and tends to jump and pull in high energy situations, and he has improved so much since training. I still have to work with Myles a lot in order to keep him on track, and when I slack in training, Myles does too. Thankfully, Zach has been gracious to give advice and help along the way, which has always been helpful. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reputable dog trainer!
