This team KNOWS DOGS. If you have a young dog and want to get it started in life to be resilient and happy, this is the place to begin! If you have a dog that is struggling, this is the place to begin! I cannot say enough good about all the dog owner/dog outcomes I have witnessed come from Alpha Leader K9 training programs. And if you are looking for genuine, real, good people, this is your place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100/10 recommend! We moved out of Texas and have struggled to find anything comparable to ALT in our new state! We originally came to ALT to help socialize our Dalmatian in different environments and around new people. We loved their training style so much that we later enrolled our Rottweiler in their board and train program. We were completely new to professional dog training, and ALT did an amazing job teaching us how to properly set our dogs up for success. They go beyond just “positive reinforcement only” and take the time to teach you how to safely and effectively use tools like e-collars, prongs, and treats as part of a balanced approach. Their group classes are so much fun, and we always felt supported. There was always enough staff available to give individual attention, so we never felt overlooked. They also offer seasonal classes, which keeps things fresh and exciting. For example, one of our favorite experiences was when they encouraged us to try dock diving. I wasn’t sure if our dogs would even like it, but with their guidance, we gave it a shot and both of our girls absolutely loved it! If you’re looking for a fun, supportive, and truly effective training experience, this is the place to go. Because of ALT, we constantly get compliments on how well-trained our dogs are. They’ve been exposed to so many different environments and activities, and we feel completely confident taking them anywhere. You won’t regret it! We miss our ALT family 💙💙

We took our 2 boys in for training for their anxiety and fear aggression they had started to develop. While it wasnt terrible, we wanted to correct it before their behavior got worse. We were told in the evaluation this was "fixable". Edith said should they get in an altercation, you simply turn the ecollars all the way up and hold down the red button, it times out at 10 sec and they will never do it again. This didnt sit right with my husband and I but we figured they are the professionals, they must know. Little did I really know... Both ours boys were placed in the 4 day a week training where they were dropped off at 10 and picked up in the evening with a review session after. The staff were training their "trainers" that were in charge of our dogs. The situation my dogs were in was not for inexperienced staff. Edith and Adrienne were very dismissive and condescending when it came to the review sessions. By the 3rd day, staff told me I was making my dogs regress. Fact is THEY had my dogs almost 90% of the time! The dogs were dropped off at 10am, I arrived for the review session at 5p, left by 6pm and home by 7p. The dogs ate, used the restroom and were night kenneled by 830pm...I literally did not have time with my dogs to practice in those 3 days to negate any learning they got during the day or to make them "regress". Alpha k9 basically could not take accountability that they did not know how to help us and instead blamed the owners. Pack dynamic issues are not a one size fits all kind of "fix" or manage and they basically didnt know how to help us but instead blamed us. They focused on sit and heel and while giving us ZERO direction or addressing the real issues we were there for. I would follow on social media for those 3 days they had our dogs and they kept them back tied while they did daily group lessons, private lessons and trained their own dogs and made social media posts. We canceled the remaining session so that our dogs were not alone with them while my husband and I were not present. The fear aggression only intensified. Afterwards, even getting the collars out caused hyperfixation with both boys on each other and increased fear. They were now useless "tools" that the dogs saw as punishment or pain when the other was around. We ended up having 2 seperate evaluations by 2 seperate trainers at 2 different facilities who both specialized in pack dynamics. BOTH trainers stated our dogs were basically livestock shocked to each other. And that basically, it would take 6 to possibly 9 months to MAYBE get them at a manageable tolerance to each other. MAYBE. It was advised to basically seperate or put down. What we initially went to alpha k9 to prevent eneded up being our reality. Both boys were put down. Alpha k9 inappropriately use ecollars and are inexperienced in dealing pack dynamics issues. Period. At best, they teach your dog to sit. Dogs are not simply "fixable" and any trainer who tells you this doesn't know what they are talking about. My husband and I both feel the ignition to our family imploding leading to both our dogs needing to be put down strongly came from leaving them in the "care" of this facility. I will and do strongly recommend AGAINST using these trainers. I tell anyone I can about the experience we had and I fully regret subjecting my dogs to.
