Alpha Obedience Dog Training

We graduated from obedience class! Alpha Obedience is absolutely amazing. We tried other trainers with no results, but after reaching out to Alpha (and seeing so many great posts) we met Frank and Bianca—and the rest is history. Our male, King, was insecure and would growl and cower when we arrived; Frank worked tirelessly to help him overcome that. We adopted Gracie halfway through our training, and she helped bring out King’s real personality. Between the two of them and the guidance from Frank and Bianca, our dogs made incredible progress. The team was patient, explained everything clearly, and truly cares. If anyone asks, we tell them Alpha Obedience is the best! And we can’t wait to try more classes! Highly recommended! 🩷

I can't say enough good things about Alpha Obedience Dog Training. I first spoke to Ashley (Frank's wife) half crying because I was ready to return our pitbull, Gemma, to the shelter after she pulled me over on a walk. She was so incredibly reactive to everything- including being quite aggressive at times. Ashley assured me that everything would be okay, and that it was all fixable. We started with Frank and Bianca 1-on-1 (thankfully) because I was so scared about how she would react with other dogs. Group classes didn't come until weeks later when Frank thought she was ready. He was with us every step of the way and answered all of our questions. They even have videos available so you can re-watch what you learn in training that week. Frank told us the correct collars and leashes to get for Gemma, and how to correct her when she did something negative. Fast forward to graduation day yesterday, and she could sit in "place" and watch the rest of class go on around her without reacting. We couldn't have done this without everyone at Alpha Obedience Dog Training.

I went into this training with an open mind and not very many expectations, after my sensitive sweet boy turned reactive after being attacked on a walk I had lost very much faith that anything would work or get him back to his old self. he was aggressive towards other dogs and started to become unpredictable when over stimulated, which turned our walks&outings into a stressful event for both of us. I became so hopeless after several months of vet visits,talking to other dog owners of reactive dogs and doing a lot of my own research. after just a few months with alpha he is starting to thrive all over again! he is able to be around dogs without feeling anxious&on guard all the time, we are able to resume going different places and he seems much calmer and happier all the way around! (pictured is actually him laying down just looking at the several other dogs in the room without reacting something that was never possible before) we continue this training daily with what we’ve both learned during our time with frank. we can’t thank alpha dog enough! we look forward to attending future classes!

We attended Alpha Obedience due to our dog having slight reactivity issues. Frank quickly determined that this was an insecurity issue and offered me several pieces of advice before we even started the training sessions. It only took my dog 2 sessions to become comfortable with Frank, which made me so excited because Maverick was finally allowing someone to be near him. I saw a difference in Maverick as quickly as the first week. Frank was patient and allowed both me and Maverick to learn what works best for both of us. I LOVED that we get access to training videos so I could go back and make sure I was applying everything correctly. Once we integrated into group classes, Frank was amazing at giving us individual time within these sessions while making sure both me and Maverick were comfortable. When I noted that Maverick was seeming to get “bored” with regular obedience, he began to teach us scent training which has been AMAZING for Maverick and his high energy level. After one session of scent training, he falls right asleep for hours. Everyone at Alpha Obedience (Frank, Bianca, Ashley) were so welcoming and were always available to answer questions, no matter the time. I am so grateful for them because they gave both me and Maverick the confidence to go out in public more and really enjoy our lives!!

We brought our dog here in the early spring for the supposedly amazing "training course." At first schedule seemed reasonable. Our dog is naturally skittish (puppy age irish setter). Our dog wanted nothing to do with the trainer. We attended most classes as scheduled, but almost every week we were asked to either come at a different time that week, or push an entire week. This happened a on MULTIPLE times on their side to the point where it was weeks between visits. The schedule was supposed to be 8 weeks (4 private -really 30 min sitting around- and 4 group). Apparently my dog was "too scared" to attend group classes at first so the time was extended. It got to the point that there was so much rescheduling we had to reintroduce our dog to the environment everytime we went. No progress was made despite my hours of "homework" from a trainer that should be training the dog rather than saying our dog is"not comfortable with him" so progress wouldnt be made during the class times. MIND YOU. We paid $1,000 for this. ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. We had to pay that before anything training happened!! And were not given options for a refund since theyre apparently "so successful." Do not waste your time with this place. My dog can now "sit.".....any other training he learned from me without their help. If I could give less than 1 star I would. VERY dissatisfied.
