American Canine Academy Dog Training

We had a 1.5yo Bernadoodle with a sweet disposition and great personality but too excitable in certain situations. We found American Canine Academy on the local recommendation pages and were a little worried it would be too rigid and take the fun out of our family pet. That is NOT what happened at all. First of all, everyone there was great to work with and super kind and friendly. They also clearly love dogs and we felt from day one that our pup would be and was in great hands. After doing the 2-week board and train, we found that our dog is just as enjoyable and snuggly as before, but now knows how to respond to our expectations when he gets too excited. Walks are a dream because he is right by our side without pulling. And having guests over to our house is no longer a circus show with dog excitement as the main event. We highly recommend American Canine Academy and can't thank them enough for what they've done for our dog and our family!

We enrolled our dear, sweet, very rambunctious, 17 month old black lab, Ozzy into the "Freedom Foundations - Off Leash Immersion" training. We had to be away from him for two weeks which was tough at first. But, when we start receiving the video report cards (every two to three days) it was clear he was in good, loving hands and enjoyed the traing time. They also did field trips with the other trainees to work on polite dog to dog behavior as well as dealing with the distractions a wide open environment can present. We have to say that we couldn't be more pleased with the ability to manage Ozzy's behavior after the classes. We have been diligent in following the directions of our trainer and Ozzy only gets better and better at responding appropriately. The other amazing benefit of the ACA program is, you get lifetime support to truss up your skills as often as you want. Either one-on-one sessions or group classes. They also have regular group walks on Saturdays that you can join. I can, without reservation, recommend ACA for your dog training.
