Amy is a born Dog Whisperer! She came to my house to help me with my poor dog Yo-Yo, who was a very sad rescue case from a puppy mill in Taiwan. Yo-Yo was an 8 years old Golden Retriever, and had lived in a small cage all her life, producing puppies. She had absolutely no socialization, and was very frightened of people, especially men. In spite of everything I tried, I got nowhere with her, and I've had dogs all my life. I worked in vet medicine for 35 years, and have had over 10 old rescue dogs after I stopped showing and breeding Goldens. Amy came highly recommended to me by friends and veterinarians, and we set up a time for her to come to my house. I had to keep a leash on Yo-Yo at all times to be able to catch her, and when Amy arrived I brought her downstairs and handed the leash to Amy. Yo-Yo immediately strained at the end of the leash, trying to get away, to run back upstairs and hide again in her safe spot. Amy just ignored this, and quietly talked to her in a low voice, not making eye contact. Slowly, slowly, Yo-Yo started to relax a little at the end of the leash., and finally stood still. Amy worked with her and me for over an hour, and we made fantastic progress. She showed me what we could work on in the coming months to make Yo-Yo more secure, and my girl was now so relaxed that she was sitting next to Amy with her eyes closed! I consider myself an experienced animal person, and I used to train young horses for people so they could ride them, but I have never encountered anyone with the intuitive feeling for training troubled dogs like Amy! Yo-Yo and I were greatly helped by her expertise, and I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a skilled and compassionate dog trainer!

I have worked with Amy with my two Great Danes and my horse. One Dane was for general training and the other we are currently working on some behavior modification. Amy is fantastic with all my animals and has taught me how to better communicate and understand them. I’ve always been impressed with her knowledge and patience. 10 out of 10 highly recommend her if you are looking for just a better model citizen pup or if you are having behavioral issues. My girls love her and are always jazzed when they get to see her!
We got the opportunity to work with Amy many years ago. She is absolutely genius at understanding not only the thought process of the dog, but its humans as well. You can’t miss with Amy in your team.
