Angels In the Making LLC

We took the Basic Angels Class with my girl Rumor, We needed more variety in her socialization around new people and dogs than we could get on our off grid property. Richie was great, he recognized that she was quickly becoming more advanced in aspects of the training and adjusted what I did with her to match that and still challenge her within the scope of focus for class that day and he helped us a lot with her stranger shyness and gave me specific things to work on that have helped immensely with being in public with her. While she still barely lets anyone touch her she is getting more tolerant and she is no longer worried about people around her and will even accept treats from them. She's even gotten to a point we were able to pass the AKC trick dog novice title test (thanks for filming my submission before class Richie!) The training style here for groups seems to be more about developing a strong bond, trust, communication and more focus from your pup vs very strict obedience and I think it works incredibly well! Richie was great at moving through the space and testing the pups with odd objects and noises, giving notes and advice and taking time with everyone and taking an extra moment for those who needed it. Rumor went from being extremely distractible to now going on off leash walks around our property without worry, as well as being calm and totally manageable in public spaces where she used to be very nervous and jumpy. The real problem I'm going to have now is trying to keep up with her brain and energy because she loves to learn! I am so pleased with her progress and highly recommend anyone looking for positive reinforcement training to call Angels in the Making. You won't regret it!

We had a wonderful experience with Richie at our "Angels in the Making" dog training class. He has an excellent way with dogs. Our 5 pound chihuahua named Kota is shy around people. By the end of the class, she was letting Richie pet her. Richie has an easy going personality that made the whole experience a real pleasure. At each class, Richie answered a lot of our questions about raising a puppy. He took equal interest in our tiny dog as much as he did with the big dogs. Don't hesitate to attend Richie's classes. He is an excellent dog trainer! We are very grateful for all his help, and we look forward to working with him again in the future.
