We couldn’t be happier with William at Apex Performance Retrievers. He trained our black Lab, Boosie, for retrieving and shed hunting, and her progress was amazing. William kept us updated with videos throughout training, showing both the good and the bad. He’s very honest about a dog’s capabilities and will let you know when they’ve reached their potential rather than have you spend money on training that won’t produce much more improvement. He also encouraged us to visit and run drills with Boosie ourselves. Our first trip up there we were amazed at how much she had learned in such a short time, but what impressed us most was how happy she was and how much she clearly loved and respected William. Will is an amazing dog trainer. I knew it was a big ask for him to take my dog being a older dog and ask him to make a retriever out of him and 8 months later my dog is way better then i ever expected. Will does a great job taking care of your dog and is very good with communication. The weekly videos are great and he is honest he lets you know how it is good and bad. It was a big decision to pickk adog trainer for me personally and financially i will always go back to apex retrievers when i need.

My dog, Koda, and I have had the opportunity to work with Will on and off for the past 13 months, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Koda has gone through both basic and advanced retriever training, and the time, effort, and dedication Will put into helping Koda become the best dog he could be was tremendous. Will also spent a great deal of time working with me to make sure I understood how to properly handle Koda and continue building on everything he had been taught. It has truly been an amazing experience, and I’m extremely thankful for the work Will has put into Koda.
