April's K911 Academy

I would recommend April's K911 Academy to anyone looking for guidance with their animal. When I came to April, I tried several trainers, with no results. In the few short months that I've gone to classes and taken my dog to play care, there have been huge improvements. My dog greatly struggled with reactivity towards other animals. Since working with April, who specializes in "grumpy dogs", my dog has made so much progress and plays with several dogs at play care. I am truly grateful that I met April. Working with grumpy dogs is not a cooker cutter process, but she produces results and truly cares.

I called to get information on dog training plans and cost. I felt I was being pushed into quick sign up. After thanking her, and saying I couldn't do the training on Sundays, received email with statistics of danger to people because of people not having their dog's trained. I took it as a scare tactic. I do not appreciate that. I wouldn't trust taking my dog there. After talking to her, I had an anxiety attack. She may be a good trainer, I don't know. But didn't appreciate feeling pushed into signing up right away.

I don’t understand how people can leave reviews to something that happened when they weren’t there. If you would actually talk to April instead of believing gossip and what the news reported (a one sided interview) you would get the entire story. The dog (Thor) that was involved attacked 2 other dogs and the injuries he sustained were from the fight. April was found NOT GUILTY by a grand jury yet she is still being prosecuted by some people’s ignorance. This ignorance is only hurting the dogs in this community putting them at risk of being put to death because they are fearful. If you want to help the dogs don’t try to tear down the only person that is willing to do it and has the knowledge to do so. April is the only person in town that would help my 150 pound Rottweiler that suffered from fear based aggression. Thanks to April and her methods my boy is living a happier life and not fearful of other dogs. I have been training with April for a year now and the energy medicine she has incorporated into her new program has accelerated amazing transformations in my dog.
