AQK9

My journey with AQK9 started in January for puppy class with my new golden retriever Zep. I loved the training and socialization. This training was more about management of your puppy. After graduation, I enrolled him in Beginner Obedience - Level 1. I was excited to start advancing from management to obedience . . . until after the 'parent only' class. I was on the fence about Tiffany as she reminded me of myself (very direct...not for everybody). At the end of the class, I decided I can do this, we can work together. UNTIL the next day when I read the homework for week 1. The homework included watching > 30 Youtube videos, reading 40+ pages of a book, 60 minutes of field training AND 30 minutes of indoor work per day. It also included needing distractions such as people or pets and someone to record it. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed and mad. I thought who the heck has this much time on their hands to do all of this while balancing work and family responsibilities! Before I started any training with Zep, I watched most of the videos (which were all very short) to help me get started. I read through the materials and asked for clarification from Tiffany. Her response was just get out there and do it, you will figure it out. Once again, I was mad. But I didn’t want to give up on Zep before even starting. So, I started the training, and do you know what, IT WORKED. I would train with Zep and rewatch the YouTube videos. Once I had my partner video me doing the training, it all made sense to me. Watching myself and sending it to Tiffany for feedback was the most useful thing I did besides enroll him and not give up. You need to keep in mind that training a dog is more about the trainer, not just the dog. Consistency is key! In the last 6 weeks, I went from having a puppy to having an adolescent dog that is thriving. I won’t say he is obedient yet; after all, he is an adolescent. And, with consistent training, I know he will be. Without the help from the crew at AQK9, he would still be acting like a crazy puppy. Thank you all so much! For those considering enrolling, make sure you have the time, resources (distractions and someone to video), and patience! Your puppy is worth it! I am looking forward to continuing on to next level with the coaching from the AQK9 team.

Tiffany and AQK9 are AMAZING!! We just finished Obedience 1 at AQK9 with Tiffany, and the transformation in our 5-month-old Staffordshire Terrier, Hank, has been incredible! In just 6 weeks, he’s learned all the basic commands, including sit and stay, and is a much calmer, more confident pup. Tiffany is knowledgeable, kind, and truly passionate about what she does. We’re so much happier—and so is Hank! Highly recommend AQK9 to anyone looking for real results and a better bond with their dog. 🐾

Tiffany has given me life changing tips and training. I can’t thank her enough! We adopted a 5 year old Scottish terrier this fall. While Piper was a sweet little thing, she ran amok in the house. She now knows ‘place’ (stays on place until released- for long periods of time). Sit/down/stand stays on demand. We are consistently working on obedience training and it’s really paying off! Prior to obedience classes, This was a 15lb dog that needed to be sedated for 24hrs prior to, and day of, vet visits-and then still had to be held down by 2 vet techs so that an exam /ear treatment could be done by our vet. I am now able to administer her medicine completely by myself with no sedatives needed. Thanks to Tiffany and the staff at AQK9, our life is so much better. I highly recommend.
