Argos Dog Training

My 100+ lbs dog was a nightmare. I tried multiple trainers with little to no success. Finally, I sent him to the Argos overnight training camp, and what a difference it made. He is so much more manageable at home and his leash reactivity has improved dramatically. I have faith that over time he will only get better. Martin and his team give you the tools you need to train your dog. I cannot recommend them enough!

Jonathan and Martin are wonderful trainers. They have given us the tools to train our dog, provide guidance, and encourage us in the process! Our dog started training with Argos at 4 months of age, and she has quickly picked up on the concepts that Argos teaches. I give all of the credit to their training methods and guidance. It is also clear to me that Jonathan and Martin enjoy what they do. They care about their clients and the dogs they train! We are very happy that we found Argos!

My now 10-month dog, finished recently a 6-week course at Argos. Prior to Argos, she had already done 2 obedience courses (Obedience 1 and 2) at Angell Medical Center, and knew some of the basic commands. However, the previous obedience courses focused on treating the dog when she obeyed and performed a command, but did not help correct the dog when she did not obey or performed the command incorrectly (e.g. "sit" rather then "down") like the training at Argos did. Consequently, I had limited success in the results I wanted. I think that is the main difference and the advantage of the training at Argos. The dog is corrected verbally by saying "no" and indicating the physical action expected, rather than repeating the same command continuously until the dog is successful like in previous courses. In addition, Argos accomplishes their training by working not only with the dog themselves, but also giving the owners the knowledge and training to perpetuate the results at home which is excellent.
