Art of the Dog Canine Academy

It took us over a year to finally choose a board and train program for our two herding breeds that showed a lot of reactivity toward other dogs and some people. It made it difficult to take them anywhere and our world became a lot smaller. We decided to go with Art of the Dog Canine Academy because of their lifetime support, positive reviews, and program philosophy. We are so happy we did. We still have a long road ahead of making sure WE are consistent in keeping our dogs following the protocols and holding ourselves and our dogs accountable, but it is like night and day. We feel so much more confident and comfortable in taking them out on walks and are actually looking forward to taking them out in more busy and public places. We couldn't recommend AOTD enough, and we're grateful to know that if we ever need extra support, they will be there to help!

Five stars isn't enough for Art of the Dog Canine Academy! I'm a returning client with my second dog, and I couldn't be happier with the compassionate, knowledgeable training provided by every trainer at AOD. I would recommend them a million times over! Dolly (8 months old) came home with so many essential skills that will help her grow into a happy, confident dog, and she now has an amazing foundation for the rest of her life. Even though she didn't have many problem behaviors to work through, I would 10000% recommend balanced training for any dog. The communication and relationship that's been built between my two dogs and me has made all the difference, and I can't wait for a lifetime of continued training and adventures together. AOD's communication before, during, and after the board-and-train program was exceptional. Leaving your dog for three weeks can feel overwhelming, but the regular updates gave me complete confidence that Dolly was loved and well cared for by every trainer. Even after bringing Dolly home, the support hasn't stopped. The team has continued to answer questions, offer guidance, and make it clear they'll be there whenever I need them throughout her life. I also did a one-on-one training session to help with introducing life with two dogs, and it was incredibly helpful. AOTD did an amazing job with my boy Dallas! He was struggling with hyper-reactivity and command duration, along with pulling while on walks and jumping on guests. I was super worried that i would have to give him up because he was so hard to deal with and train on a daily basis. Luckily that’s when i heard about AOTDK9! Absolute life savers, they were able to really laser in Dallas’ focus and bring out the smart dog he is. Dallas no longer pulls while walking, he stays in the command that i give him until i release him and he is an exceptional host dog to our guests. Honestly I can’t thank AOTD enough for the superior care and effort they gave to my sweet boy! I would also like to shout out Dallas’ dedicated trainer Isaiah, he was super helpful on graduation day and over the course of Dallas’ training. He was attentive, consistent, and genuinely cared about not only my dogs health during his stay, but his training progress as well. I would absolutely recommend him and this company to anyone who wants to give their dog just as good of a life as we have.

I can't recommend Art of the Dog Canine Academy enough! Their 3-week Board and Train Behavior Modification program completely changed life with my two dogs, Freddie and Raya. Before training, both of them were very reactive on walks. They pulled constantly, barked at other dogs, and made walks stressful. I also struggled with them getting overly excited and barking whenever guests came to my home. From the very beginning, the trainers were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and caring. They treated Freddie and Raya like family and kept me updated throughout the entire program, which gave me so much peace of mind. When it was time to bring them home, they didn't just hand me two well-trained dogs—they took the time to teach me how to continue the training and set all of us up for long-term success. The difference has been amazing. Walks are now calm and enjoyable, they no longer react to every dog they see, the leash pulling is gone, and the barking has improved tremendously. The transformation has made such a positive impact on our everyday lives and strengthened the bond I have with both of them. It's clear that the team at Art of the Dog truly cares about the dogs they work with and the families they help. If you're on the fence about investing in training, I can honestly say it was worth every penny. I'm beyond grateful for everything they did for Freddie and Raya, and I would recommend Art of the Dog Canine Academy to anyone looking for real, lasting results.
