Emma, our trainer, was fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly helped us understand Teddy’s behavior on a deeper level. I now feel much more confident continuing training at home with the tools and techniques we learned. Emma made the process approachable and effective. Finally! I found trainers that helped me learn how to control my high energy lab at ATL Dog Trainer. We had a private lesson with D.J. and followed up with a 5-week course with Madeleine and Janet. They all amazed me by how much they understand dogs! They all were patient with me, and spent extra time helping with the biggest challenges I’ve had. The facility is impressive and worth the drive! Gracie was always excited to get there!

13 years ago, I was an unhappy practicing attorney in Atlanta and had begun learning about dog training as a result of having recently adopted an extremely high energy puppy. So, I searched for a dog training company where I could learn about the field and possibly start a new career. I emailed a few places and Susie quickly responded. After meeting with her and the team at Atlanta Dog Trainer, it was clear our philosophy on dog training was aligned and I decided to make a go of changing careers and becoming a dog trainer. I participated in all 3 levels with Susie at the Atlanta Dog Trainer Academy and was a full-time dog trainer by the end. And I haven't looked back! The Academy gave me such a strong foundation of dog training skill and Susie was incredibly supportive every step of the way. Now, I have my own dog training business specializing in complex behavioral training, and I couldn't have done it without my start at Atlanta Dog Trainer. If you love dogs and are looking for a career you will love just as much, I strongly recommend Susie and the Atlanta Dog Trainer Academy!
