Atlas Canine PNW

I cannot say enough good things about Atlas Canine and Amanda. My dog Kaiya was a mess before she went through Amanda's board and train program. Kaiya was resource guarding, causing fights with the other dogs in the home, fearful and reactive with people as well as dogs. I was so stressed out and I was in way over my head. Since Kaiya was fearful and reactive around strangers I was skeptical that I would be able to find someone to help me, but then I found Atlas Canine and Amanda. Amanda was not only to able handle my fearful\reactive dog, but the progress Kaiya made while at Amanda's was unbelievable. Kaiya became less fearful, allowed strangers to handle her, and was less reactive. Not only did Amanda teach Kaiya how to be more confident, she also taught me the power of what building a strong relationship with your dog can look like and how that relationship of trust can reduce the fear and reactivity a dog has. I loved that Amanda provided daily updates while Kaiya was in her care, how to information with video guidance, and that she followed up several times after I brought Kaiya home to see how we were progressing. Amanda provides full service dog training at it's best. Kaiya still has her moments, but she has come so far. She goes hiking and camping, gets along with the other dogs in the home, meets new people without being reactive, and our relationship has never been better. All thanks to Atlas Canine and Amanda's help and hard work.

I took my male 16-week-old heeler to Amanda at Atlas Canine, and I can confidently say he has become one of the best dogs I’ve ever had! Now that he is an adult, I continue to rely on Amanda as a valuable resource. Everything I’ve learned from her has been instrumental in shaping not only my heeler’s behavior but also how I interact with my other dogs at home. Amanda is compassionate, relatable, and always honest about expectations. Through her guidance, I’ve learned how to truly fulfill my dog’s needs and set healthy boundaries in my home. This has created an amazing relationship between my dog and the rest of my pets. I can’t recommend Atlas Canine and Amanda enough—it’s been an incredible investment for any future dogs I may bring into my life!

I cannot recommend Amanda at Atlas Canine PNW enough! I enrolled my 7-month-old Boxer/Pit mix, Kali, in the 2-week Board & Train “Puppy” program, and I am thrilled with the results. Before the program, Kali was reactive on leash and shy around people, and to be honest, I had my own anxiety about walking a reactive dog. I quickly realized I needed just as much support as Kali, and Amanda provided that perfectly. From the very first meeting, Amanda made me feel at ease. She's approachable and an excellent communicator—not just with the dogs, but with us humans too! Amanda sent daily video updates, providing clear, easy-to-follow instructions on how to work with Kali. Her calm, direct guidance really helped me build confidence alongside Kali, and it was a game-changer to understand that I needed training as well. Amanda gave me valuable insights into Kali’s behaviors, especially her anxiety, which I hadn’t fully grasped before. Her feedback is honest, direct, and exactly what we needed. The training session at pick-up, where Amanda walked me through all the commands with Kali, was incredibly valuable. By the time we left, Amanda had laid a solid foundation for us, and I felt empowered and prepared. Amanda has been available for follow-up questions even after we returned home. We’ve already attended one follow-up session, and I’m excited to continue working with her for our future training needs. Kali and I are a work in progress, but thanks to Amanda's skill as a trainer, we are both making headway and, more importantly, we now have the knowledge and tools to keep improving and build our confidence together.

Highly recommend Amanda at Atlas Canine PNW for your dog training needs! She has completely transformed our relationship with our dog. We decided on the 3 week board and train option for Rufus. This included a program specifically for our dog in a home environment which we appreciated. Our dog Rufus had trouble walking on leash and difficult with overall obedience. We had a tough time taking Rufus outside with our new baby and the stroller. He would pull us around and is a very big Labrador, so we needed this corrected for our safety. We thought Rufus was just high energy and excited, but we soon found out from Amanda that his excitement was actually anxiety. It seemed so obvious when we found out and started to look back. During the board and train we got multiple videos of Rufus and his progress. Many of the videos we still reference back to work on our relationship with Rufus. I highly recommend looking at the work on their Instagram to see the kind of work Amanda does with her clients. She has such a balanced and realistic approach and helped us gain a better understanding of what dogs need to be happy and fulfilled in a modern environment. Included was a midway training session for us to catch up on his training, a go-home session, 1:1 follow up sessions post training, and of course a new collar fitted for Rufus! Amanda set a great standard that Rufus understands and we can continue at home. His training outcome is beyond what we imagined and he’s more calm and happy overall. She is easy to communicate with and checks in post training. We already did a 1:1 session post training to refresh, and it was super helpful! She’s always available when you need guidance post training. Most importantly we know what he needs and understand how to implement things at home to keep encouraging good behavior. Amanda did a great job at training us, and Rufus! Definitely recommend!
