Audax K9 Academy

Highly recommend Kimberly and Jason's training company Audax K9. I've been using them for a year now. It's a family owned multi generation business. They also breed very high-quality working line german shepherds They have decades of experience with both working breed/guard breeds as well as all other breeds. IMO I would describe the training as a balanced approach, that has a focus on positive first (R plus), engagement/relationship with the dog (play and food drive), and fairness to the dog. I appreciate that they are blunt and to the point when needed. They have a good direct teaching style that will teach the owner/handler how to train their own dog, and that will carry forward to future dogs and at home. They focus on details and provide a lot of 1-1 feedback and examples in group lessons. Private lessons are also well worth the expense. Prices are vary fair and competitive. The board and train was a safe place to leave my large working dog, I trusted them with him more than I would family. Drew

Our lives were changed the day we started at Audax (though it took us two months to realize it). Our first dog—adopted in March 2020–was incredibly difficult, and no COVID virtual training was going to help her. After finding Audax later that year, and attending their group classes, as well as private lessons with our very difficult girl…we now have a dog who can go to any winery/brewery, can ride in the car, can play with others, and is the best foster sibling to the German shepherds we help rescue. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Audax for helping us with not only Kayda, but also our boy Veli two years later. You have changed our lives. And what you have taught us is helping us better prepare our foster GSD pups for wonderful lives with their future families. We’ll be seeing you again soon ❤️

We just picked up our 10 month old GSD from ( also purchased from AudaxK9) a 2 week board and train session. We were having issues with him jumping on people and needed the extra help to set boundaries and reinforce positive change in him. He returned home with a clear expectation set and even in just one night I can see all the work Kim and her team put into him. Now all my family and I have to do is continue to reinforce and reward the solid framework of behaviors AudaxK9 instilled in him. 10/10 I do recommend AudaxK9 for small training needs all the way to lifelong learning.

I first took my dog to Audax K9 Academy for puppy classes a couple of years ago and then came back this past summer/fall for private lessons. Everyone at Audax K9 is extremely knowledgeable in dog training and you can tell they love what they do. I love that they look at each dog individually when it comes to training to ensure maximum success. My trainer, Christina was especially fun to work with. I learned so much on what tactics work best for my dog (and to be honest for me as well!). I always left our sessions feeling empowered to be the best owner I can be. The best part was implementing what I learned in our lessons at home and seeing a huge difference in my dog's behavior. Christina is truly a master of her craft. I would highly recommend Audax K9 Academy for all your dog training needs!
