Aunt Karen's Dog Behavior WNC

I've had two appointments with Karen, and in that time she taught me how to better interact with my nervous, high energy dog. It was like flipping a switch from distrust and fear to relaxed and enjoyable. My dog is a more confident, happy dog. If you're like me, you've owned and loved many dogs before, so acquiring a challenging dog with an uncertain past blindsighted me. Karen was recommended by my vet and I recommend her to you. If my dog could speak, she'd recommend her as well.

Karen worked with my dog Lobo who is wary of men and protective of me. He previously would not allow my boyfriend to walk around or approach me. He had even bitten him before when he made a sudden movement. He is now even just after the evaluation with her able to be off leash around him. She was patient and very kind to Lobo. Recommend for any dog with aggression/anxiety problems or just general obedience. She also doesn't use e-collars and focuses on the behavior of the dog instead which was a must for me.

**UPDATE 7/27/26** we have been working with Karen for a few months now and have had brilliant results with our sweet boy dog. He is anxious and reactive at the vet so we have been working on muzzle training and desensitization with Karen. We had a vet appointment last night and he wore his muzzle beautifully! It was not an easy appointment but he handled it perfectly. We were able to get him care because of the work we’ve done with Karen. She has been incredibly supportive, kind and available to us throughout the process and we will absolutely continue working with her. She truly has a gift with dogs and is very knowledgeable with a focus on healing trauma in addition to training which is really helping our boy. We think of her as part of the team and family now. My partner is a lovely six-year-old GSD. After an unfortunate incident, she developed reactivity to other dogs. I have worked with four recommended trainers to address this issue. Karen Comstock is the first person who has successfully helped us with this. I am so excited to see this change in my dog. Karen loves to teach what she knows and she is so effective.
