FirstBarkKaren is the best dog trainer EVER!!! And a pretty phenomenal human too! She has elevatedy dream of having my dog become therapy dog into a way of life, a way of respecting and valuing and nurturingy dog's skills, heart, talent and drive and honoring that with my own. Karen helped me to not panic, she walked me through what to do, gave me some great advice, and she followed up with me several times throughout the day. I highly recommend Karen and will definitely keep her in speed dial. She was VERY RESPONSIVE, and wow! What an experienced behavioral trainer (dog).

She taught us how to use the clicker and treats to encourage our dogs good behavior. I love watching our dog run in the backyard and comes right back to me when I call her. That is thanks to Karen teaching us what to do. She also provided great reading material and handouts.
Aunt Karen schooled me way more than my puppy, who already knew what to do! Her info is invaluable, and she provides so much more than just on-site training. Books, articles, training technique handouts, text advice, you name it she shares it. I highly recommend Karen and we look forward to continuing our classes.

In the past I have trained dogs for obedience, agility and just to be good citizens. After adopting a 3 month old husky mix earlier this year I knew I needed help. He is very energetic, intelligent and is an independent thinker. He definitely has a mind of his own making him a challenge to train. I did not want to use the electric collar that so many trainers use now. I wanted positive-based reinforced training methods not negative punishments. A friend suggested Aunt Karen's Lucky Dogs and I found exactly what I was looking for. Karen is a behavior specialist who uses positive reinforcement. She has extensive knowledge on how dogs think and why they react the way they do. Simply put, Karen speaks dog! She also has many different methods that she uses depending on what works for that dog. She helped me understand my dog on his level and helped me adjust my training methods to achieve the outcome I was looking for. And she really does care about you and your dog. She makes herself available outside of the set sessions for any questions or concerns that may arise. You definitely get your money's worth. Karen is the best. I highly recommend her.
