Aunt Karen's Dog Behavior WNC

So happy my neighbor recommended Aunt Karen’s Lucky Dogs. Karen gets to know you and your dog and teaches accordingly. She goes above and beyond with her puppy parties - matching puppies with similar personalities and activity levels for the socialization puppies need. Karen has a genuine interest in the safety and care of your dog. She obviously loves what she does and is very good at it. My dog and I have learned so much and continue to learn with each lesson. We couldn’t be happier. Thank you Karen.

Karen was amazing with my puppy. She helped me provide him with the best life by knowing what his particular breed needs and wants. It was more than just training, she helped me see what conditions he works best under which allows us to have a really great relationship. Karen is VERY knowledgeable about what works best with training all different types of dogs. She offers specific treatment goals based on the dog and owner's needs. I highly recommend her.

In one visit, Aunt Karen gave me tools that enabled me to feel safe walking my 170-lb rescue Great Dane, who was very reactive to other dogs, around my (very doggy - yay!) neighborhood. She taught me to play games with my Dane that he loved, that both burned off his extra energy and strengthened the connection between him and me. She's extremely responsive to questions even outside the lesson - always gets back quickly with very helpful information.

Karen was great with our energetic, undersocialized one year old mix breed puppy. But the experience was less about what she taught Roxy, and more about the approach she trained me and my wife in. We feel like we understand our dog in a way that we didn't before and can develop reasonable behaviors and modification strategies after her tutelage, and with her continuing help. She was always quick to answer questions and honest about all of the factors needing to be weighed when figuring out how to care for our pup (like honest assessments of cost, which I really appreciate). We're glad she's around as a resource as we continue to work on appropriate behaviors with Roxy.
