My husband and I were in over our heads when we adopted [a puppy] Hunter with a baby on the way and an almost 4 year old already at home (we are smart people but this was not our smartest decision). Ryan came very highly recommended. We trusted his process and now Hunter is no longer a menace to society (our home and sanity) and we’re all one big happy family. Ryan doesn’t want to just take your money and teach you how to get your dog to follow commands, he wants you to build a good relationship with your dog and enjoy being a dog owner. Seeking training at B'More Dogs Hon was the best decision! I have two large dogs, and walking them was challenging and sometimes painful. I didn't take them anywhere & didn't enjoy walking them. By the third lesson, I could walk both dogs easily, and now, I rarely have to correct their behavior. We enjoy walks again, and the vet could handle my large wild child easily. B'More Dogs Hon is conveniently located with a large, bright facility & plenty of parking. Ryan's approach of starting with private lessons then moving to group made training easy and fun for my dogs. Ryan trained me in the proper ways to use training tools & communicating with the dogs. He helped me understand my dogs' behavior. I feel more confident & relaxed, so my dogs are also more relaxed. Plus I love that training doesn't stop. I get to attend training once a month to reinforce training. My pups want me to mention that B'more Dogs Hon also carries a variety of delicious treats and chews for sale. It is very convenient to get new leashes, collars & treats in the same place.

Ryan is very knowledgeable and will answer your questions in a reasonable manner. I learned several things are aggression in dogs that I never knew. Ryan helped me gain confidence in handling situations if they arise. He understands that life happens as long as you COMMUNICATE he is very flexible and understanding with schedule changes. I was the queen of canceling and never once did he make me a certain way about it. Just make sure you communicate, ask questions and do what is ask and you will not be disappointed.

Ryan is an absolutely amazing trainer — from day one till the end! We really loved his process of doing 5 individual training sessions and then 5 group sessions. It really gave us the 1-on-1 time needed to learn commands and also how we, the humans, should act and respond. During the group trainings, there’s about 3-4 other dogs with their owners and Ryan does an amazing job guiding everyone individually. It’s awesome to see the progress week to week and if you put the work in, it really shows. I also wanted to mention I had experienced some bad dog aggression before we had adopted our doggo now — which was a huge reason I wanted to find a dog trainer. If you’ve been unfortunate and experienced aggression like me, know that Ryan was completely understanding, nonjudgemental and truly supportive. It eased a lot of my anxiety knowing both our doggo and I were learning to communicate better with each other, and that’s all thanks to Ryan! 10/10 recommend!
