I have a dog who is pleasant to live with! I adopted my dog and in the first few weeks, I saw a number of behaviors that were putting stress on me and my family: pulling like crazy on walks, barking and reactivity to some other dogs, jumping on people (including my young kids), nipping when playing and excited. I felt really overwhelmed and was worried our dog may not be a fit for our family. But now, those issues are 90% better and I'm confident we'll tackle the other 10% over time. I was drawn to Balanced Behavior because of their recognition that they are not just training your dog, but teaching you how to be a long-term leader for your dog and speak the same language so you can communicate effectively. The GOAT camp sessions were a great balance of personalized consultation and hands-on practice, plus videos and resources to practice at home and brush up on skills beyond the training sessions. And I'm so relieved that they offer a number of post-camp classes and sessions to keep improving and manage my dogs' behavior long term. I am looking forward to my dogs' future with my family. Thank you Bill and team!
