My husband and I could absolutely not wait for the grand opening of Balanced Behavior Dog Training Center in Palatine! Having the pleasure of meeting Billy previously, we knew that there was no other trainer we wanted to work with for our full of energy, highly reactive, and anxiety filled pup, Diesel. From the very beginning, starting with a highly informative consultation, to every single session in between, and finishing with a GOAT Camp Graduate medal, we knew that training with Billy was worth every penny! During the initial consultation, Bill took his time to listen to our concerns and provide possible solutions on how to fix the problems Diesel struggled with. The tailored training approach that Billy provides for every single pup individually highly impressed us. We left the facility knowing that we were in the right hands with our pup. During each day of Diesel’s GOAT Camp sessions, we received a ton of videos and pictures through social media to follow along his journey. We knew exactly what Diesel was being trained on each and every day throughout his sessions. At the end of each day, during Diesel’s pick up, both my husband and I received training directly from Billy. We were able to practice with and in front of him to make sure we clearly understand and execute the wanted behaviors which were being worked on. We never felt rushed, and Billy always explained all aspects of training in great detail, applying them to real life situations. Lastly, before leaving the facility each day, we were provided with informative videos, notes, and practice items to continue to work on. After the first week of training with Bill, we saw an immediate change in Diesel’s demeanor and listening skill; it only improved over the following weeks. We were so saddened as the 10 sessions flew by so incredibly fast! Diesel’s graduation from Balanced Behavior Dog Training Center was such a bittersweet moment for us as we didn’t want the GOAT Camp to end! We were all laughing that we were unsure who was going to miss training sessions more, if it was us or Diesel! We saw such a drastic change not only in our pup’s reactivity and anxiety, but also in the relationship we have developed with him. Bill truly taught us how to speak dog! We cannot wait to enroll Diesel in the Stay and Train Enrichment Program and continue to work on positive habits. I can't recommend Bill enough! By the time Chidi was 1, we had already completed three obedience group training classes and actively trained using external resources. I went into this experience thinking it would be easy since my dog was already “obedient,” but what brought us in was his growing reactivity, making our walks stressful. Chidi loves car rides and tagging along everywhere, so I wanted to help him feel more comfortable in different environments. Bill completely redefined my relationship with Chidi. Every week, I came in prepared with questions, and Bill patiently walked me through everything—explaining, demonstrating, and tailoring his advice to our situation. I especially appreciated the customized homework after each class, which kept us progressing outside of sessions. We trained during winter, which made outdoor work challenging, but Bill helped us adapt and maximize our learning in other ways. You can truly tell he loves what he does because the dogs love him! More importantly, he gave me the confidence to train Chidi again, and what we learned will stick with us for a lifetime. If you’re looking for a trainer who is knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in you and your dog’s success, Bill is the one.

We are beyond thrilled with the transformation Bill has brought to our dog and our family.
