Balanced K9 Academy

Heather, with Balanced K9 Academy, trained my out of control Great Dane pup and he not only came back no longer dragging me on his leash, rushing out doors, and not paying attention to me but he now has great obedience skills and impulse control. He actually looks to me for guidance and he is eager to please me now, which is something he never did before. My family and friends enjoy being around him now and never ask me to put him away when they visit. Heather also took a lot of time to teach me what I need to know to keep his training up to date and continue obedience training with my pup. The care and attention my dog was given while he was at Balanced K9 were amazing! I was a bit afraid to leave my dog for boarding and training because I knew I would miss him and would worry about him while he was away, but I got video and text updates that made me completely comfortable with his care and progress. My dog came home happy, healthy, and behaving flawlessly! Now that I see the potential my dog has I plan to take some of the private lessons available at Balanced K9 so my dog and I can learn better training skills and so we can keep training together in the proper way. I also plan to use Heather for boarding my dog in the future as well. Your dogs are in great hands at Balanced K9. I couldn't be happier because letting him board there for training has created a much closer and more enjoyable bond between me and my dog.

I boarded my crew and Becca was absolutely amazing. The communication between her and I throughout was fantastic and in depth. I have a dog that has very bad anxiety and bites. The crew at balanced K9 took her and didn't cause any unnecessary stress for her. Her safety and theirs was taken very seriously. Upon picking up she was excited but relaxed. I also have a very anxious dachshund and he came home a very happy boy. I will be a repeat customer and will take the tips I was given moving forward. If you need a place to board your dogs I am confident in recommending them.

I cannot say enough good things about the work Becca with Balanced K9 Academy did with my labradoodle Boone. Boone is very smart, BIG, and incredibly stubborn. He is also my baby. I let him get away with so much, because I had no idea how to handle a dog this strong-willed. I could not trust him on walks. I could not let anyone else walk him. He was a counter-surfer, a trash monster, and a people jumper. After a month with Becca Boone has learned so much. My life is much less stressful. It is still work. He will test me, but consistency has proven effective. The best part of all of this is Boone is happier. People who worry about balanced training and ecollars on dogs should really take a look at the difference this has made in him. He’s calmer. He’s able to think through decisions. He is safer because he knows life has consequences. He is able to come places with me, which is every labradoodles dream -to be the most social being on the planet. We are so grateful for all the hard work Becca put in with him. She kept us posted through the whole process. She’s explained everything so plainly. She really is so intuitive, passionate about her work, kind, and down to earth. She never made me feel bad for how I had raised him before. She’s our hero!
