We have two dogs—a Labrador and a terrier mix—and live in Lee County. Before working with Bark Busters, we struggled with door manners, leash walking, excessive barking, and separation anxiety. I had recently adopted a 5 year old, male Staffy from a shelter on the east coast. He was stuck there for 6 months and only out of his kennel 10 mins a day. As you could imagine this caused some stress and adjustment issues for him. He had shown some signs of aggression; briefly and I wanted to ensure I was doing all I could to keep him safe and confident. We had our first session with Patrick today and it went extremely well! My other dog, a 5 year old female Staffy was more upset than he was about the structure we worked out. I already feel confident with the tools I have been given that the 3 of us will thrive and be enjoying less chaotic walks among other things! Patrick really gives his clients all he can to ensure your success. Whether you learn better with demonstrations(video or hands on), reading, and keeping track on a log. I live in Fort Myers,Florida and I have 2 yorkies. 1 is 9 and the other is 7 months. I wanted training with barking, bathroom training and leash training. Patrick is AMAZING and so knowledgeable. I had changes in my dogs on the FIRST day! I was amazed at the things I've been doing that have NOT been working is not speaking their language so they can understand. The presentation Patrick showed me put things in such a different perspective for me. I'm so thankful! HIGHLY Recommended.

Sterling, our Maltese, is darling until he is not! We currently are in Fort Myers, Florida, but also live in Fort Thomas, KY. Bark Busters was found through an internet search for dog trainers in Fort Myers. The "name" is what drew me to Bark Busters. Sterling barks. He barks at people, people on scooters, bikes, walking, or running. He barks at other dogs, squirrels, rabbits, and birds. Yes, he s a dog, but barking and jumping on people at the front door or just standing at the front door is unacceptable. It takes much to put me in "awe"; however, after just a two-hour session, or so, I had a different Sterling, and I was in "awe." Why? Master Trainer Patrick could now come to the front door, ring the bell, knock with no craziness exhibited by Sterling. If I did not want Sterling in the kitchen, he did not come until called. I do not want to give away the tricks of the trade, but the difference before and after Patrick's visit was amazing. I highly recommend Bark Busters if you want training results. Debbie

We have a 2.5 year old lab/shepherd/pit who knows mix named Oliver, and got him as a rescue from a homeless encampment in Chicago when he was 3 months old. He was dying from heat exhaustion when the case worker found him before giving him to us. We suspect his hyperactive and hyperreactive behavior is due to a history of trauma. He has a screaming howling bark that sounds somewhere between a dog and a sasquatch. At 60lbs it can really rattle people. Walking him was basically like deep sea fishing which is enough said. It reached a point where we just wouldn't take him out in public. We moved to Cape Coral, FL April of 2024. Over the past 2 years things didn't get better, and I wondered at times if maybe they were getting worse. SO I contacted Bark Busters, and onto the scene comes Patrick. I thought this surely would be weeks of rehabilitation and relationship building. After the first lesson, using one simple command, first problem solved. Oliver was listening...that's different. Stunned and a little in disbelief, my mind couldn't quite grasp how quickly it worked. It took a minute to digest, but nonetheless with glee and a newfound optimism for life, I finally had a foothold!! But next week was leash training day, and I thought for sure this will be the true test, showing Patrick how bad things can really get. He just didn't know because who sees the worst in one visit? This is where the real work begins. Well again to my utter shock, in about 20 minutes Oliver was walking next to us like a baby angel. So either I'm a really terrible dog owner, or the things that Patrick teaches actually work as advertised. I FULLY BELIEVE THE LATTER! After so much time of trying a bunch of things like distraction techniques, vibration/tone/shock collars, no pull harnesses, you name it, Patrick distilled it down to the essence of what really works and why. Very shortly into the first lesson it became pretty evident that Patrick has 20 years in the profession of dog training. We learned it isn't because we weren't following whatever techniques we picked up online or in basic training classes - the truth is we weren't paying attention to the right signals, signs and implementing corrections in an effective way at the right times. Patrick is everything he says and advertises he is. I grew up with dogs but never with a dog so out of control, so I never knew how much of a disaster it can create in your life. Very very thankful and appreciative of Patrick and I highly recommend him!!!!
